White Castle — Restaurant in Carol Stream

Not a good White Castle experience at this location. Nobody waiting in line to order. 1 person (an amployee) eating in lobby. HUGE water spill all over floor w/no caution/wet floor signage warning you of the danger. No attempt by employees to mop/clean it up. Took forever to finally get someone to come take out orders. The employee who had been sitting in lobby came back behind counter & was a cook making burgers. No uniform being worn, no apron, nothing other than his regular clothes & a pair of gloves (thank goodness for those at least). Part of our order included several double cheeseburgers plain. Because he made them incorrectly at first he tried to correct the problem by taking the pickle off & then hand picking the onions off the buns. I'm standing there watching him and I was absolutely appalled that he was actually going to try & give those burgers to us. It was only after another employee saw me staring at the guy at the grill that she turned around to look and she saw what he was doing with our food so she walked over, said something to him about it and he then quickly (& angrily) started grabbing the top buns & patties and threw them over at the garbage & it was the other employee that was putting all new sandwiches/buns together free of pickle juice & slivered onions all over it. The male employee was visibly unhappy about this entire situation. The sacks of french fries were clearly overcooked and hard. The drink machine had no ice and the soda was flat & tasted disgusting. The employees were aware of these issues but again no attempt was made fix any of it. Still, big mess of water on floor just waiting for someone to slip & fall on. Lobby was dirty & bathroom was nasty. In the end we ultimately threw close to 1/2 of the "food" in the trash. They did have handicap parking spots but the parking lot was not lit very well & it was a bit challenging to pull in and out. Today's visit was an epic failure and we most likely will not be going to this...

Absolutely filthy. I don't even know how this restaurant passes the health code inspections. The food isn't great. It's all Indian people managing this location and working here so that will explain a lot. They skimp on filling the French fry box. I clearly ordered a drink but the cashier missed entering it on the register. When I got my order and asked about my drink, the cashier claimed I didn't order a drink and decided to just argue with me instead of just giving me a drink cup to get me on my way. I went ahead and paid for a drink after the fact; however, good fast food managers will just give the drink to let the customer on his/her way. I honestly don't know how this location is still open seeing how disgusting the kitchen, dining area, and restrooms are. There's even a sign on the door from the fire department stating the sprinkler system non-functional. The sprinkler system hasn't been functioning here for over a year now and the franchisee hasn't done anything to resolve the issue. I don't know why I even ordered food here today. This White Castle is very disorganized. The first time I went there I placed an online order 10 minutes before I arrived. When I got there they had not even started it. The second time I went inside and stood there 15 minutes as they only took care of the drive thru, so I left. This last time I ordered on line to pick up at the drive thru. I arrived at the correct time as was told to proceed to the 2 ND window. I pulled up and the worker to my credit card and charged me. When she handed me the receipt it was for the car behind me. So they had to give me cash and then recharge my card again. When they gave me my food I pulled over and checked. I ordered pickles, onions and ketchup. They was nothing on them. I had to go back inside to get the condiments. Then I had to sit it my vehicle putting my sandwiches together. One of the burgers look like it had a bite taken out of it. See picture.
