Food Lion — Local services in Cary

I believe from a pricing stand point these guys are perhaps the only full size grocery store to offer truly every day good pricing (when compared with their other big box peers). The restrooms were better when they offered paper towels, however even with the air dryers ( I bring my own towels), they remain fairly clean. I do see more toilet paper scraps on the floor, because it's obvious most folks simply don't want to grab the handle in a public restroom without having a barrier of protection. This location has a solid veteran team. They are consistently friendly, and the store remains quite clean. Their fresh produce is adequate, however could benefit with an expansion of loose (not packaged) offerings. This store has not thought through how to assist customers with social distancing. The store is set up exactly opposite of how it should.

The entrance has customers walking direct pass customers checking out. Customers checking out have to walk pass customers coming in and by the customer service counters, through the produce section.

It would be better social distancing to have customers enter at the produce entrance, shop the store as indicated with the isle arrows, ending up at the checkouts, and exiting at the door right there. They could reduce the amount of contract and cross over

I don’t know who laid out the store plan but I wished they would think it. This is the only grocery store in this area which seems not to have put any thought into the flow...

Always great service and employees are so nice. My main issue is with the level of quality with the produce. I have never been able to purchase a head of broccoli that wasn't limp or had already begun to decompose. Pretty gross in my opinion so I never purchase produce here, no matter how good the deals might be.

I do however like the sales and deals they have for their shoppers club on dry goods. It's right down the road from my house so unfortunately this is the closest grocery store to me. Not my first choice in food preference quality but the employees do always make me smile and I enjoy the small...
