Nail Today — Local services in Cary

I really wanted to like this place, but the guy doing my nails made me feel like he didn’t want me there. My appointment was at 1:30, but they didn’t start working on my nails until 2, which ended up making me late for my next appointment.

I wanted rainbow fall nails, so I picked a different color for each nail. Hannah was pretty helpful in picking out colors for me, but the guy doing the mani seemed annoyed that I wanted so many colors in a specific order. I didn’t ask for designs or anything incredibly challenging, just a few different colors.

I had to ask him to do a couple of extra coats on a few nails he thought were “done” that looked pretty translucent, and he didn’t take off all the polish that was on my skin, even after I asked. I shouldn’t need to ask you to put the correct amount of polish on, or to clean up the polish as you go. Those things are just part of your job.

It didn’t help that he would look at me, say something in a different language to one of his coworkers, then laugh loudly. This was supposed to be a relaxing experience, not one where it felt like I was a burden for asking for proper service.

My nail tech seemed particularly upset when I didn’t end up liking one of the colors I chose, and asked to choose a different one. I just went with the first option Hannah brought me, even though I didn’t love it, because I didn’t want to cause a problem.

I got a pedicure too, which okay. It was probably better than the mani because I only chose one color. The towel he put in my lap smelled like it hadn’t been washed very well though.

Hannah really did seem nice, maybe I would have had a different experience if my appointment...

I've been coming here since October to get my nails done. I've never been someone to get regular manicures but recently I started getting SNS from a recommendation from a coworker and this is probably the only place near me that does this.

I've probably had about 12 SNS manicures here since October and I honestly am very happy with the quality of the work. The SNS lasts very long and Julie is the one who's been doing my manicures. She's very sound with everything and she has years and years of experience doing nails!

I've had broken nails and other issues (totally my fault, playing rough sports and such) and Julie's always been able to give them a secure fix with little to no pain!

I get pedicures done here once every 2 to 3 weeks depending on if I have time and if my nails need it and the pedicures are really great too! I've also come here for leg waxing and my neighbor comes here for eyebrow waxing--she says that this is probably the only place that does hers right.

The salon is always clean and well put together and they offer you drinks as soon as you enter. There's magazines and everything to read and lots of conversation going on and I do feel like they're a group of professionals.

I also do feel like the salon is like a little bit of a family to me now and I know Julie is always looking for new colors to bring in for SNS and new methods and going to training to try and be up to date on everything nail-related which is something I really appreciate and look for in a manicurist.

All in all I'm very glad I started going here. My coworker comes here now as well to get her SNS nails done and we're very happy with...
