Polished by April — Local services in Cary

I can't say enough good things about April and her work, so here's a picture on the 10th day after my manicure: Gel-X extensions and polish. I have a toddler, do a lot of typing, wash my hands/dishes/etc. a lot, and generally don't take great care of my nails so this is phenomenal. But even better: she's also friendly, thoughtful, and professional. I'd never gotten enhancements before but I wanted to grow out my sad, scruffy nails - I'd stopped getting manicures a few years ago because other technicians had made me feel worse about them so this was a leap of faith.

April took such care in picking out and tailoring each nail to each finger, hand-shaping them and checking in with me, and she talked over how to achieve my goal of healthier nails. I've got a plan, folks! Given the amount of effort and artistry she put into her work and how long they've lasted, $75 for a two-hour appointment seems like a steal. (That's before a tip, but trust me, you'll want to add a bit more in thanks.)

Update: I've been going to April for a few years now and my nails are healthy! I didn't realize what a boost in confidence having consistently lovely nails would be. And I've really enjoyed trying new...

I am so happy I got my nails done by April! I haven’t had my nails done for a very long time. I don’t like places that pack in as many people as possible, rush through the whole process and do a ok job. April is completely different. She took her time to do a beautifully thorough job. The shape of my nails are exactly what I wanted and they absolutely look perfect! She has her own area to do nails inside Douglas Carroll Salon. She is the only person to do nails there so you won’t be bothered by getting someone different to do your nails every time you go. You can always count on April being your nail tech and you can always count on her doing her best work each and every time. She is a perfectionist and I am so happy with my nails!
