If you are looking at purchasing a home, then Jason Pohlonski is the person to call. I purchased my home in August with Jason’s help and moved in October. I first met Jason a little over a year and a half ago and at that time, I was not in a position to buy a home. Knowing this, Jason still set me up with emails that linked available properties that met my criteria so that I could be prepared for when I was ready to seriously look. He continued to reach out periodically to see where I was in my search. In April, I was finally ready to begin looking. I am so glad that I had Jason on my side to guide me through this endeavor.

Jason has so many outstanding qualities. His work ethic is impeccable. He is motivated, driven, passionate, and he has a competitive spirit. We beat out several different offers on my house that were for more money, but we had better terms. He has a pulse on the market and knows what is needed to be successful. He is always professional in terms of returning phone calls, emails, text messages and answering questions. He was very patient with me as I tried to decide what style of home I wanted and the location.

Jason has an innate ability to relate to people. He wants to find the best home for you. He is extremely honest and will point out things during a showing even if it could cost him the sale of the house. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a keen eye for making suggestions for improvements or fixes.

After my offer was accepted, he was right there to guide me to closing. He was meticulous in making sure all of the paperwork was in order and that I had a smooth closing. Although I gave my sellers 45 days after closing to move, Jason continued to make himself available to help with any detail or concern that I had until I was able to take possession of my home.

Lastly, Jason is a genuinely nice guy. I never felt pressured into making a decision that I was not comfortable with. He is someone that I have continued to call for help and recommendations and he is always willing to offer his advice. He is just simply the best. Honest to a fault. I am a first time home buyer, looked at several realtors over the last few years and Jason was awesome. Couple key points:

-He has told me stories and has demonstrated to me personally that he would rather be honest to a client rather than make a sale. I looked at close to 10 houses, each time he made a point to declare major flaws and faults with the house's construction. He's no inspector, but he notices the big stuff most of the time.

-Easy to communicate with. He got me set up on a email search and was very responsive to emails, texts, and calls; sometimes I would hit voicemail but he always called back.

-Has the strategies. I closed on my house in the midst of the pandemic panic right when the Grand Rapids market was the craziest. After looking at comps and seeing the area around me I feel like I got good value for the price I paid. Jason's negotiating skills, communication with the sellers, and knowledge of the market and market strategies were very helpful during my sale.

-Pulled his weight. I mean this in not only "he did his job" but he exceeded my expectations by reviewing documents closely. He ensured documents were correct in not only the purchase contract but in the closing documents with the title agency. He also worked closely with the title agency, the lender, and the seller to make sure everybody was on the same page through the process. When I needed to know something, I knew. If I didn't need to know something, he was very good at giving me my space and would offer the information up if I asked about it. Honestly this is what I preferred and he picked up on that without me having to explain it - your mileage can vary.

I came across Jason on Zillow when we were searching for our first home in Ann Arbor. We were both relatively clueless to the home buying process and Jason was an incredible asset.

It was evident from the start that Jason was committed to not just helping us find A home, but the RIGHT home for us. At every listing we visited, Jason was able to quickly point out pros/cons of each home, including structural damage, insane HOAs, and other incredibly useful information that otherwise would have gone right over our heads.

He was also INCREDIBLY patient when we quickly realized we had no idea what we actually wanted—we started out looking at condos in Ann Arbor and ended up shifting our search some 45 miles away to homes in Birmingham. We asked if there was a way to view the homes solo or with an associate but he was 100% committed to going with us.

After a long search spanning several months, 4 cities, 2 counties and 20+ homes, we finally received an accepted offer on a house in Birmingham. He was incredibly helpful in negotiations and don’t feel we would have gotten nearly as good of a deal without him.

Even after closing, Jason continued to stay in contact and followed up with us. When we discovered a month or so later that the seller had a significant outstanding water bill, Jason had it resolved for us within a matter of days.
