Benny seriously saved my butt by pulling off a last minute ring re-size for me within just a few hours after another jeweler held on to the ring for a week and did nothing. Several other jewelers in Hayward and Castro Valley also refused to do it saying it wouldn't work, but Benny proved them wrong with a hardcore smack-down! I was able to propose that night with a ring THAT FIT PERFECTLY instead of having to explain that it was gonna be another week. The resize itself also worked flawlessly, and appears to have been done very well with great craftsmanship. He used solid silver (even though the ring had a hollow band) in order to strengthen it further, and managed to keep the setting intact even though several other jewelers said it would be destroyed by a resize. On top of all that, he even came in CHEAPER than the quote from the jeweler that held on to it for a week. Knowing Benny is definitely quite the hook-up if you have things that need to be done with jewelry and actually need them to get done on time and on budget....

Benny's had a flashing open sign and a cardboard sign on the door also reading open. I walked through the front door and on the inside there was a security door. Benny buzzed me into the store. There was also what appeared to be another working sitting near the front door. I approached Benny and asked if he could replace a watch battery for me. To which he replied "can you come back in 30 minutes, I'm eating my lunch now." To which i replied "no" and I said this is not the way to run a business. If you are closed for lunch, lock the door or put a sign on the door stating "closed for lunch". On my way out the door as he was buzzing me out, he said "come back i will install the battery. I Have a watch with a metal bracelet, where the clasp would no longer lock. Per reviews discovered Benny’s Jewelry and Repair shop nearby. Was greeted immediately upon arrival, showed the watch to Benny, who discovered that the pin within the clasp had broken off. Instead of replacing the whole bracelet, Benny who is highly skilled and “thinks outside of the box”, created a new pin with silver. He created the pin on the clasp, shaped it to original form, and now I can wear my watch again! We went over on how to close and release the clasp multiple times, to minimize the clasp from becoming non-functional again. Also charged less than what I expected for a repair of this type.
