After traveling across the USA and learning about each vfw I've stopped at and it's contributions, this is definitely the worst I've ever contributed to. Their money does not stay local to vets in need. I've personally witnessed the commander in southern Colorado help a very in need veteran (non member) obtain discharge papers, birth certificate, social security card, driver's license, apartment (vfw paid all expenses till assistance kicked in), assistance, food, clothing,...
