Cathedral City Liquor — Local services in Cathedral City

I have lived in this community for three years and have always gone here first before going to any other store. Because I am a 68 year old, disabled woman, I go here because it is close and convenient. Up until today, I have NEVER EVER EVER HAD A PROBLEM. The employees, all of them, were always patient, courteous, helpful and by me being of color, I truly found this to be a major blessing. Today, however, upon going into the store, the man behind the counter kept saying, "I can't help you". He had to say that a couple of times before he made it clear that I was no longer allowed to come into the store: and I asked why? After all, it's been my experience that people are banned from a store for stealing, and I knew I had never ever stolen out of this store. He explained to me that the night before which would have been last night that while I was in the store, I had spilled soda and I guess I had left quite a trail or mess. I explained to him saying "Sir, if I spilled soda and left it, more than likely, I was not aware that I had spilled the soda", Knowing this was the closest store to me and that it would be difficult for me to go elsewhere because I am temporarily without my wheel chair, I teared up out of fear and offered to come in and clean the bathroom for a week,, but don't ban me from the store, please sir, because I don't have my wheelchair. He insisted I leave the store. I at some point became angry and I thought this was insanely crazy because he would not not accept my offer. I called the police and her response if I was need from the store, there was nothing they could do. I don't and I won't accept this lightly. Does anybody have any suggestions, other then going back and apologizing. I need access to the store because I don't have...

I want to preface this review by saying that until tonight, my review would be between 4 and 5 stars.... Living just around the corner, I have been a regular 2-3 times a week at $15-$40 per visit, for 10+ years~and the service, as well as the availability of MY items, has always been great; Until tonight...and my interaction with DANIEL!
