Sad to see such poor customer service and scam tactics from a small business.
I received an email from this company saying I had an outstanding gift card and they encouraged me to shop. So, a few weeks later I decided to shop their website. In the middle of the day I was shopping for a few hours, had about 20 items I picked out that were in my cart. I get to checkout and type in everything and hit pay and thatâs when I get a message âthe prices of your items have changed.â At that moment all of the items fly up in price! Very weird this only happened after I have spent all my time shopping and hit pay. I go back to the main page because Iâm so confused and I refresh it, and the same â50% off site wideâ banner that was there when I started shopping hours ago is still across the top. That didnât make sense, so then why did my prices increase from the 50% off? I waited some time and refreshed again, same thing, same 50% off banner, but the increased prices remained. So then I emailed Grace & Lace with the issue and of course I thought theyâd honor what the banner said/says and how this only happened when I was all done and clicked pay. Nope, they would rather squeeze more money out of the customer despite their error! After I emailed twice describing the issue and saying the 50% off banner was still there, they then took down the banner đ but still wouldnât honor my cart. What a joke. Iâm annoyed I spent hours of my time shopping just for them to do a bait and switch at the end. Especially after they emailed me initially and then this happens, really seems like it was set up on their part.    Read moreDO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU WON"T NEED A RETURN - Iâve been a longtime customer of Grace & Lace, and Iâm extremely disappointed with how they handled my most recent return. I sent back 3 items, including 2 that I never even took out of their plastic bags. Instead of issuing a refund, they cited a vague âodorââbut couldnât say what kind (smoke? perfume? air freshener?) or provide any proof. For the record, I don't smoke and nothing was worn so what are they talking about, a home air freshener? Doubt it.
When I asked for clarification, their only response was that they used the âbuddy systemâ, meaning two people agreed there was an odor. That was their entire process. No specifics. No transparency. Just a subjective sniff test. Again, wouldn't even tell me what this odor was.
Then they offered me two choices: pay again to have the items shipped back to me (ya right), or let them âdonateâ them (something I suspect just means reselling). It felt less like a real return policy and more like a tactic to avoid issuing refunds.
Their self proclaimed âstringentâ policy seems designed to protect themselves, not support their customers. Unless youâre 100% sure you wonât need to return anything, I strongly advise shopping elsewhere. I wonât...
