Midas — Local services in Cedar Park

When companies waste my time it’s very frustrating and annoying. I made an appointment today Saturday @5:30pm because that’s the time I have available and sent me confirmation email that I’m good to go. See all the pictures I have for proof. They sent me a Midas coupon for free oil change and he guy with nose ring and lots of piercings guess he is clerk or manager said they only cover $89 and rest I have to pay since it’s Enos synthetic I Said okay. I’ll pay extra because I couldn’t read all that fine print.. told him I have appointment he said he couldn’t do it because he has 2 cars ahead of me. First of all you wasted my time and gas going up there for an appointment I had. I even videoed the parking lot there like 3 cars there.

The point I’m making don’t make appointment to waste customers time. What if I do that to you!!!! Bet you won’t like it.

This is the reason I don’t use Midas cause you guys SUCK!!!! I did it to get some kind of discount on oil change since economy sucks and try to save as much $$$. But wasting time and nonchalant saying you can’t do it because you have 2 cars ahead of me…: I got there at 5:20 and my appointment is 5:30. You don’t close til 7:30pm.

Automatic response of I’m sorry we didn’t do this and that. Would provide a number or email to contact. This is not good sales model. I run my own business when people make appointments I make sure I honor that appointment regardless if you’re understaffed or have 2 cars in front of me.

These other mom and pop oilchange gives better service and sticks to thier confirmed appointment. You will not get my business or my company...

I take care of my oil changes like clock work. This is the first and last time I will ever come here. Jiffy lube has done alright the last 10+ oil changes.

I drive a newish vehicle - 2023 They snapped my oil drain and messed up the oil pan which they stated required a new oil pan.

Today, July 1, 2025,(service done by: Ricky marin) I visited Midas in Cedar Park because I previously had a good experience with their customer service. This time, I found their full synthetic oil change offer on Groupon and decided to go there again. I asked if I needed to pay through Groupon or do I needed to pay at the shop. The smart cap guy told me I could pay them directly for $39.99, the same price as listed on Groupon, and said it would take about 45 minutes.

Even though I had a college-class to attend, I waited patiently. Unfortunately, it ended up taking over 1.5 hours. I understand it was a busy time, but I expected service to be first-come, first-served. Customers who arrived after me were finished and checked out before my vehicle was even started.

To make matters worse, I was charged more than the agreed $39.99. I even asked them do i need to pay now or later, little did i know that they added sales tax and shop supply fees, which I wasn’t told about. Had I known, I would’ve just paid through Groupon to avoid extra charges.

I’m really disappointed with this experience. I was understanding about the delay, but the poor communication and added charges left a bad impression.

Sadly, I don’t plan to return to the Cedar Park Midas location, even...
