Tonight, I had the distinct pleasure of dining at Angeethi Flame Indian Restaurant & Catering, and it was an experience that tantalized every taste bud and left me utterly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance hinted at the authentic culinary journey that awaited.
The evening began with their Mint and Mango Mojito, a concoction I can only describe as divine. The vibrant mint was perfectly balanced by the sweet, tropical notes of mango, creating a refreshingly complex and utterly amazing start to the meal. It was the kind of drink that makes you pause and simply savor the moment.
For the main course, I opted for the Madhya Pradesh Methi Mattar Curry. This dish was a revelation. The fragrant fenugreek leaves (methi) and sweet green peas (mattar) were simmered in a rich, aromatic gravy that was both comforting and excitingly flavorful. Each spoonful was a delightful exploration of spices and textures.
To accompany this stellar curry, I had the Tandoori Roti and Basmati Rice. The roti, fresh from the tandoor, was perfectly charred and wonderfully soft – the ideal vessel for soaking up the delicious curry. The Basmati rice was fragrant, fluffy, and cooked to perfection, providing a beautiful counterpoint to the richness of the main dish. Honestly, the combination of the curry, roti, and rice was simply to die for!
Angeethi Flame didn't just serve a meal; they delivered an experience. The quality of the ingredients, the skillful preparation, and the delightful flavors all contributed to an unforgettable evening. I'm already planning...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I originally picked this place out of all the newer indian restaurants specifically because they had peshawari naan on the menu and this item isn't as common on local menus. First impressions were that the restaurant was clean and everything is new. It was not busy at 6pm on a Friday. My husband and I were immediately greeted, asked to pick any table, and water was brought out. We ordered Gobi Manchuria, Chicken Korma, Chicken Tikka Marsala, Garlic Naan, and the Peshawari Naan. Everything came out very quickly and looked delicious... but I was confused when my naan came out with sesame seed pressed on top and no obvious nuts or fruit filling. I asked the waiter if this was the peshawari naan and he confirmed, even after I asked if it was supposed to have nuts, raisins, or some kind of filing. Disappointed, I ate what was brought out and everything was good. It would have been even better if the the naan was what I expected. Although $6 for the naan is not a lot, if it had been filled with nuts and fruit, next time I'll order the butter naan for half the price and without the...
Read moreFood was good but owners seem to be a bit cheap. When placing a take out order I was asked to tip in cash even though their system allowed you to tip with card. Also I wasn’t being waited on so the question threw me off guard. Heard them ask another take out patron this and he had the same confused reaction. I had ordered two tikka masala dishes along with samosas and garlic naan. Wanted to eat in the car, but noticed no plastic ware or napkins came with it. Also the amount of rice they gave us for two meals was laughable. Seriously about 1/3 cup in one container. The tikka masala also came with about 4 bites of chicken in it. So although the food was tasty, these practices of ripping customers off will get me to not return. Just be fair. Should’ve known when I heard the other patron question how much rice he was going to get. His words exactly were “sometime you guys give very little and other times a lot.” Honestly just thought he was just being a bit difficult at the time but now I see...
