United States Postal Service — Local services in Center Point

This review is not regarding the office employees, but my mail carrier. I work from home and am always home. I also receive a lot of packages, usually at least 3 a week- sometimes more. We used to have a phenomenal mailman who went out of his way to be friendly and kind. He even carried dog biscuits for the dog families on his route. Sadly, we rarely see him anymore. The woman who has taken his place shoves my mail into my box, so that small packages she jams in there have been damaged. Bigger boxed packages do not even get an attempt, even after putting a note in my mailbox that I'm home and to please deliver. Sometimes I get an orange "we missed you" note stating they attempted delivery (yeah right...she never knocked or let me know I have a package even time she's made eye contact with me when I'm outside), other times I don't know a package is sitting at the PO until I check the shipping because it hasn't shown up. It's not fair that I'm paying twice for shipping- once for the actual S&H charge and again in gas and my time to go to the post office twice a week to pick up packages. I tried to make a complains in the post office and all the clerk could do is shake her head and apologize. She knew exactly who the nice male mail carrier was and who the lazy female male carrier is. The USPS honestly can't afford to lose business like mine. I'll start paying for expedited shipping so UPS and FedEx deliver my packages. They will actually come to my door. and get my...

Feb 6, 2021. Center Point location. Amazon delivered a crib that I gifted my granddaughter via USPS. Why a crib was delivered to the postal service, I have no idea. The delivery was scheduled for Feb 3rd, today is Feb 6th and the crib still hasn't been delivered. Feb 3rd we were told the delivery was delayed. Feb 4th-The initial reason the crib wasn't delivered is that the mail box was full and it wouldn't fit??? Ya think.? I called Amazon who called USPS, we were told it would be delivered the next day. Feb 5- We were told we'd have to come and pick it up. No, that's why I requested it be delivered. I called Amazon who called USPS again , we were told the delivery would be made by 8 pm.that night.15 min later my granddaughter called said USPS sent an email stating the crib is being held at the customer's request and would have to be picked up,.WTH??The level of incompetence is staggering. I called Amazon again requested a member of mngt who called USPS again. We spoke with "Tammy" and this time we were told that the initial complaint was posted in the wrong place, she'd corrected that and the crib will be delivered today Feb 6th. I'm trying to understand why getting a crib delivered requires seemingly an act of congress! This is absolutely ridiculous! This place is horrible. They say in person that they dont have your mail with that address on it as soon as we leave we go to are old apartments to see if the manger was in. They weren't. The mail man was there putting in mail i go up to are old mail box to see if my check has came needless to say i was approached with him pushing and trying to shove me out of the way even though i showed him proff that this was my mail box and explaining to him while he continues to elbow me in the side that my mail gets shiped to apt B. He wouldn't listen then my husband gets out of the car when he see's the mail man putting hands on me and trys to show him proff of residence with his ID. But the mail man didn't care even though he had my husband mail in his hand. My husband tried to explain it to him several times and he would not give my husband his mail. So i try calling the usps in (CenterPointe Al) to explain to them what happened after we have left there this morning but no answer with any of their numbers. Never in my life did i ever think i would witness such a unprofessional mail man. I will be pressing charges.. This is ridiculous im 34 weeks pregnant and it very noticeable to plus it has been raining all day, i didn't deserve this. He should of been more professional instead of putting hands on me.
