She shut the door in my face

Haircut wise: I showed the blonde photo as my reference and explained that I liked the cut and style. The tank top photos were my end result. I added a photo with the orange background to show my hair on a normal basis. Amanda kindly offer me no charge when she could tell I was hesitant half way through. I still paid her 50% for her time but admitted that it didn’t look like the photo but it was okay, no hard feelings. I would not have left a review today if not for the experience I had following the appointment.

Service wise: I left after explaining that I still appreciated her time and again no hard feelings, then waited for my ride downstairs. 1 minute later, I hear her ranting on the phone about how I was complaining (even tho during the appointment she actively asked me for feedback) and how she asked me for the reference photo during our appointment so that she could show it to them later, along with other rude remarks regarding the ability to give me the haircut I requested because the reference is blonde.

Unfortunately, now I have this haircut and can hear the person who gave it to me, talk rudely behind my back even though I was respectful about the situation, and we had good conversation beforehand. So I go back up, calmly and sadly, tell her that I’m still downstairs and I can overhear her talking about me. Yes, the lady who works here is Korean, so some people might think she does not know how to handle hair of other races, but I want to assure people that it is not true.

Once you talk with her about hairstyling and how to care hair, you would find out she has dedicated in this profession for 30 years (20 years in chicago and 10 years in champaign)

Also, she has a great passion in her job and always try to help people who does not know what kind of hairstyle they look good with (a person like me).

Today, she changed my rug like hair into a very well fined hair within 30minutes, educating me what kind of things are needed to take care of my hair. This time was worthy more than just a haircut since not only I got a haircut but also I got a lecture.
