Furniture Warehouse — Local services in Champaign

This store came through for us when our move was badly delayed, Costco postponed our mattress order for a week, and we needed some mattresses to sleep on. We originally went looking for a couch and loveseat. They had a large selection and the associate was friendly and helpful. We found one we liked and scheduled delivery for the following day. Then we went back later that day after learning about the mattresses and added 2 mattresses to that delivery order with no extra delivery charge, setting the mattresses for next day delivery. The delivery window arrived and the workers were prompt and professional. All in all, very smooth and would certainly shop there again. When you're in the middle of moving you have all kinds of experiences in our (overall) wonderful little Chambana community. I happened to experience within days the very best and the very worst of customer service. The worst is a story for another day, but the way I was treated at Furniture Warehouse on University St. is truly the very best. A great store which, even in the middle of national furniture shortages, at the time of this review, does not overcharge (using reasonable markups compared to the competition), offers 100% honest advice and no hollow promises, treats you respectfully and goes beyond the call of duty. I waited 3 weeks for my furniture to arrive, after 3 weeks of not having any furniture- they deliver it. Half of it. Theyre now telling me that its a mistake the truck didn't get loaded correctly, and now I will have to wait another week and a half for them to bring the rest of the couch because "their busy" This is the worst customer service I've had in a long time. I understand that every business is busy around this time of year, but when a company makes a mistake, that customer should now be their priority. Horrible experience and I won't ever shop...
