Their idea of bigger stores results in a few employees telling me they don't like it there, and they don't have the stock to keep it filled, so yeah good going there Dollar General Corp. for making it harder to keep a store filled. Long lines and only 1 register ever open, rarely see a 2nd one. So no better then where they were previously. I only go there when I can't get to Walmart or up to anywhere in in the Rostraver shopping plaza.
Update: October 5, 2019 Store is not as nice and clean as it was in the beginning. Now when people go there are Uboats in the isles filled with stock, rare to see more then 1 register open until someone yells to open a 2nd and maybe even a 3rd register. A nightmare to go down there after 5 pm because then you can barely make it around the store with the U-boats, and garbage bags hanging filled...
Read moreDollar General used to be my favorite "go to" store. I have gone to many Dollar Generals in different areas and they are ALL the same.....a mess! Lots of boxes stacked in the aisles where you can't get to what you want on the shelves. People are always waiting at the checkout in a long line as well. I don't know if it's poor management, but it's a shame because it's a decent store that has everything. It's not just me, because I have heard many others say the same. I am very disappointed to the point where I don't even patronize them...
Read moreThe store is pretty spacious, and it's very easy to navigate through the store while shopping. They carry name-brand items as well as great alternative items. Their brand, Clover Valley, is sometimes better than the name brand merchandise. Everything is easy to find.
My only issue that it gets really freaking hot in that store. To be fair, I haven't been in there for 2-3 years. Maybe they fixed it.
Bottom line: if you're on a fixed budget, or if you even have some wiggle room in your budget, this is a good place to go.
