Model Cleaners — Local services in Charleroi

I signed up to use Model Cleaners for their wash n go, dry cleaning and repair services. I thought it was amazing all of these services could be done through one place AND they deliver!

They returned my laundry and dry cleaning and left it exposed in the pouring rain without so much as a knock- I was home and I had no idea my clothes were out there! Anna Marie, their customer service manager, told me in writing “it’s their policy not to knock.” Uh what?! Moreover, the wash n dry clothes were returned wrinkled and poorly folded and the repair I had sent out (overalls with the clasp missing) was returned not only untouched but with the spare piece I sent missing. They also sent back a second pair of overalls I had sent to be cleaned— and had only been worn once— damaged. Their solution was to offer replacing the damaged hardware with something in a different color metal (umm what?).

Bob J. who is quick to reach out to you to get you signed up was also quick to pass the buck to Anna Marie when I complained about this experience and their remedies were to say I’m sorry and put a credit for much less than the total onto my account (instead of just a refund). I used Model Cleaners for years without issue, but twice in the past year items from my deliveries went missing. In both cases, there was no communication from the company. I only learned something was wrong when I noticed the missing items and contacted them myself. One shirt had been delivered to the wrong address and took days to recover. More recently, a pair of pants disappeared for two weeks before being found.

The most concerning part is not just the mistakes, but the lack of transparency. Customers are not notified when problems happen, and the burden falls entirely on you to follow up and push for answers. No one let me know anything was wrong on the last fail, even after two missed deliveries. It wasn't until I called and emailed that anyone took notice.

Based on repeated failures and poor service recovery, I can no longer recommend Model Cleaners and do not trust them...

Excellent service! I dropped three suits and a button up shirt off on a Wednesday evening and was told they should be ready by Monday. I received a text on Thursday that not only were they ready, but they’d would have a driver in my area available to drop them off to me Friday morning. The suits and shirt look brand new and the price was very reasonable. As if I wasn’t already completely satisfied, we received an envelope in the mail today with money they had found in one of the suits that we didn’t even remember was left there.
