I am a Jeffersonian who believes in keeping my purchases local if possible. I had been looking for a religiously based ring for a year now, and I finally found what I wanted at Feagan's. Since it wasn't my finger size, I had to get it enlarged, which would cost me $60 in labor and the extra gold needed for the enlargement. When went to pick it up and put it on, I noticed and commented on the thinness of the ring, saying that "I thought you all would be adding gold to enlarge it, not enlarging it by thinning it out." The receptionist said that the thinness of the ring was just it is supposed to be. I then asked if they will guarantee this ring, so if it breaks, I can return it. She was dismissive and cold with her "no." Meanwhile, the man who did this work was shuffling around in the back but wouldn't come out to defend his work. To say the least, I left the store a dissatisfied customer with no recourse but to leave my review with a pic so that you can judge for yourselves. This place is truly awesome! Not only did they bring a 40-year-old watch back to life, but they made me a custom necklace that is absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. I live in Northern VA and feel like I don't get this level of customer service very often. The guy that helped me was kind and genuinely seemed to care about making me happy. I went to Feagans Jewelers in Charlestown while visiting with my daughter. My Anniversary was coming up and I had a ring in mind that I had seen online. Shane the owner was extremely friendly, nice and friendly and helped me pick out the perfect ring. Went back the next day with her engagement ring and he resized it for her for free!
