So not sure what to think. The waitstaff was very friendly. I came in here to grab a coffee for my husband. I like supporting our local businesses and I had not tried Sibling Coffee Roasters yet.
I ordered a large dark roast. It was $5.35, which I guess I wasn’t expecting for a single coffee. I’m used to $2.50-3.00 at Dunkin’ or Starbucks, which is not a small business but it’s hard to justify paying twice that price just to support a local business. I realize they roast their own beans, which is awesome, but I guess they aren’t passing that savings onto their customers. My hubby said the coffee was good but he isn’t a picky coffee drinker. I didn’t have a chance to try any pastries but they looked good. Limited seating, likely due to covid.
Random side note, while I was in the shop there was a woman with her pet rabbit on the side bench. Bunnies are very cute but... eh. I dunno. On the cushions? Forget covid. What about rabbit fever? Cute but not ok for a restaurant. Not trying to be stuffy but I don’t bring my cat with me into restaurants.
Willing to come back and try again. I’m a tea drinker so maybe I will avoid that hefty...
Read moreThe coffee and service wasn’t bad, BUT THE POOR FISH, the fish tank is HORRIBLY dirty (sides of the bowl and a layer of goop sticking to the marbles) the tank is way to small, the fish has no room to swim.. when ever I come into this shop all I see is the fish just sitting there, not moving and looking so sad. This fish is large and takes up a quarter of the bowl just by itself, Beta fish require AT LEAST a 5 gallon tank to fit comfortably, and all fish need a clean tank to remain healthy. Beta are a tropical fish a require a cycle tank (heaters and filters). Betas are also obligate labyrinth breathers, meaning they breath at the surface of the water. I understand it’s “cute” or whatever to have an animal in a little shop, but please take care of the animals and do...
Read moreUpdate: This has slowly become my favorite local coffee shop. Seems like they worked out the kinks. The atmosphere is my favorite, great service and great coffee. I love their creative flavors and flights. So, I hate to leave a less than stellar review for a local spot. But I tried the same drink 3 different times, and each time it was wrong. Listen, all I get is a latte with some caramel drizzle. No milk alternative, no foo foo la la stuff. Espresso, steamed milk, caramel goo. One time the milk was barely warm, one time it tasted like the forgot the espresso, and the third time it tasted burnt (but still wasn't hot). It makes me sad, honestly. They are so nice, and the updating since the monks left is refreshing. Maybe I'll try something...
