Refuel — Local services in Charleston

Wow, we finally get a modern, reliably open 24hr, clean, well stocked staffed mini-mart this side of the connector, and 3 stars with people b!tching about the service? First, your not out for a night at the ritz. Simple, walk into store, select items, complete transaction, move along. Avoid interruptions to this seemingly simple system - everything stays convenient.

Second, I’ve never found the staff to be anything but delightful - as charming as I would expect at 2am to take my money in exchange for a tall boy and cigs.

Don’t forget - what we’ve consistently had on this side of James and John’s, whackamole to see which 24hr store was going to actually be open past 10pm.

Guest service is very poor there’s no enthusiasm from the cashiers at all. The guy Bruce was actually very rude to a customer and the customer walked out very unhappy. The GM left out changed her shirt came back into the store and bought Budlight beers and she was still noticeable to us customers. Guest service is very important and every customer should be walking out satisfied happy and a smiling face! Bruce is very very rude this is really not the job for him. He’s Walking pass customers not speaking never smiling eating while behind the register items wasn’t paid for that Bruce got off the shelf. The kitchen staff are totally awesome! I’ve tried using the car wash twice since it opened (keep it mind it’s brand new). Each time it’s taken my money, but the wash doesn’t end up actually working. They end up shutting it down and the attendant has kindly given me a refund.

I called today to see if it was up and running yet, and the clerk/manager’s response was “sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, you’ll just have to come and see. If it doesn’t work I’ll get you a refund.”

I’m willing to purchase a membership with this Refuel, but with this many issues at a brand new facility and this type of customer service I’ll be going elsewhere. Can’t say...
