This restaurant used to be a family favorite, but their customer service is severely lacking. We frequently get take out and have had our orders sometimes be wrong in the past, missing/incorrect food, etc. This most recent incident, my mother called the restaurant to let them know that she had been charged for an extra meal she did not order and they had forgotten one of the meals. She was told that the owner was not in, but that the manager on duty would talk to them in the morning. The next morning, she received a call from the office manager telling her that the owner had authorized her to send a check for $50. Along with the check, my mother received an unsigned letter stating "he'd (the owner) like to thank you for your business but in the future, he prefers not to continue so." This is honestly the most insulting customer service we have ever received. They are basically insinuating that we lied about what we received. Our family has been loyal customers of Athens since they opened in the 80s, but their food and customer service has been slipping these past few years. If you do choose to do business with them, just make sure that you check everything with your takeout order before leaving, because they obviously will not take any...

Slow service: check Sticky table: check Drink 95% ice: check Bad food: check Bottem line: dont come here

Arrived at 730 and was made to wait 15 mi ites at a nearly empty restaurant. Sat at our table and immediatly noticed our arms sticking to it. Ordered a diet pepsi and the spanikopita appitizer to start. Soda was flat and the waitress (when she finally noticed) would refill the glass with far too much ice, by the end of my meal it was all ice. The spanikopita was good for the first bite or two, then i got towards the center and it was ice cold, guess 3 minutes in the microwave wasnt quite long enough. We ordered the gyro plate and the beef kabob. The gyro plate was ok, decent pita bread and everything was hot. The potatoes were unseasoned but i guess you are meant to dip them. The beef kabob was terrible. The meat was insanly tough and each bite was a chore to chew thouroughly enough to swallow, the whole thing was slathered in an odd tasting sauce. We ordered to galaktoboureko for dessert and again just like the app, cold in the center. Dont...

The food at Athens was above expected quality levels for the restaurants slightly lackluster appearance. The people working at the restaurant were kind and welcoming. Checking in on us often, ensuring that our drinks were constantly topped off. The conversations we had with the staff were enjoyable and brisk, allowing us to enjoy are food while still engaging us where the decor couldn't.

We got the Moussaka, Chicken Kebob, and panakopita appetizer all of which we would recommend. The food was well prepared and has given me pause upon the lack of interest upon this small restaurant. However, do not let lack of word deter you, it would be a mistake to miss out on this little restaurant.

The atmosphere was a bit lacking, the actual decor of the restaurant is slightly off putting, feeling almost barren of interest. Like a computer graphic for a concept interior design. This issue is small as the final qualifier for a good restaurant is the service and food, which...

I've been coming to Athens since 1987. I try new Greek restaurants from time to time and nothing ever compares to the authenticity here! I recommend a glass of Retsina or a shot of Ouzo before your meal. The Gyro Platter was remarkable! And the Greek dressing on my salad was still the same deliciousness as thirty years ago. I would have liked more feta on the salad. There was only one kalamata olive, one peppercini, one small slice of tomato, and one small slice of cucumber. I gave it four stars instead of five because of the need for a good dusting, and a scrub-down of the walls and floors. In addition, my cloth napkin had crumbs on it, like they rolled the silverware on a dirty table. I would still recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants large portions of delicious food.

Rip off! 3 small pieces of chicken (those were the only 3) for $16 (photos taken before we ate sorry I sux at taking good photos) the Greek lemon soup was this white watery nightmare with just overcooked rice no chicken and in small containers barely full. ($6 each) yes I know the cost of food is rising but this is a major rip off. The food was bland too. The French fries weren't even Greek style it sits in a liquid goo.

First time at the new location, to say that Athens restaurant moved is an understatement, the food and service is not close to what it was, I had the Gyro platter and the meat was dry, the Greek sauce look like watered down mayonnaise, and the pita bread was so hard it felt like it was a week old, I wish you all nothing but the best of luck but you have a lot of work to do before some of us return
