US Foods CHEF'STORE — Local services in Charleston

So friendly, helpful and clean. I used to shop with the other restaurant supplier in town but when I couldn’t take the staff and customers with masks down around their chins (or not on at all), I made the switch! It is so unbelievably reassuring to have a business like this who not only asks AND requires for their customers to wear masks, but the employees are also always in masks and wearing them so they are effective. They are constantly cleaning and have their checkout lanes well spaced so that customers can distance appropriately. In an industry that has been ravaged by this pandemic it’s so wonderful to have this unequaled show of seriousness and support of a supplier. Can’t say enough about how appreciative I am that I feel that I can safely shop so I can continue to do the work I love. They’ve got my business...

Nice store and great staff but they are always out of common things which makes me go to 3 other stores. It would be nice to get all the basics in one giant store like this one. The corporate office person needs to improve the stock and options for this store. Like containers but no lids for them for months now. Very kind of cookie dough that most people do not want but non of the kind that people do want. They refrigerate tomatoes and sell them for far too much. Every chef knows you do not refrigerate tomatoes. It ruins the texture making it soft and grainy. Good staff and management...

Good quality on meats, good lunch meat and cheese prices ok. Nice Selection of canned tomatoes and frozen apetizers, they no longer carry San Marzano dop ) don't know why??? also the seafood, sea scallops & crab prices are somewhat high for a wholesaler so not great prices and found better at Sam's club or even walmart. But shrimp is good and fair priced, I think you Just have to pick and choose for good deals. I love the choice prime rib buy and cut into about 16-17 ribeye steaks around...
