SECOND EDIT: They are still charging me! Its been over 60 days since I finally spoke with someone on the phone who said they were cancelling my membership and enforcing the 30-day cancellation policy but I am still being charged my monthly membership. I have called and left a voicemail and emailed twice with no response.
EDIT: Finally got in touch with the gym to cancel my membership. They had me update my card since it expired last month, pay that month dues, as well as this months and still enforced a 30 day notice so I had to pay an additional month. Not only that, but after this conversation and charging my card - I am still getting calls and emails saying I need to update my payment and there is an issue with my membership. Love it, thanks guys for an awesome solution! 0/10 would not recommend.
Such a frustrating experience. I joined this gym about 2 years ago, over that time I noticed the gym was not upkept very well; almost every time I went into the gym the spray bottles were empty, the paper towels were empty and more often than not there were no clean towels, and generally it was just dirty. I sent an email about this and never got a response.
Due to this and moving away from the gym I tried to cancel my membership. Unfortunately, I have a full time job, so I am working during their staffed hours and unable to go in during these hours without taking time off from work - which is not an option. Over the months I have tried calling and emailing and can't get through to anyone. The phone just rings and rings with no answer or option to leave a message. My fiancé was able to stop by the gym to cancel his membership and told them I have been trying to cancel mine so they sent me a google form to cancel. I have submitted this form with no response and am now getting calls about updating my payment information and that I am required to pay the dues missed due to my card on file expiring. When I called the (800) number, I was told that they cannot cancel my membership and I would have to call the gym. The one that does not answer their phones or emails.
At this point, if I have to pay these dues - fine. I think that is ridiculous, but fine. I just want to end my relationship with this company and be...
Read moreI set up an appointment online to check out the location and apply for a membership. The day of my appointment. I got a text confirm my appointment. I show up to the location and stand outside for 20 minutes to take my tour. I waited ust to be told the only staff member went to get a haircut. Apparently the office manager had left early for the day and told no one about appointments for new members. This happened at the location in mint Hill as well. If you are a person with a busy schedule, look elsewhere to sign up. This is the second time I've had to wait and get nowhere.
The really bad thing is the only way I found out that the only staff member went to get a haircut and that the manager left was because a gym patron happened to have that staff members number. It's pretty embarrassing that the gym patrons themselves are more helpful than...
Read moreI have been a member at Anytime Fitness Sardis Rd. for a little over 3 years now. I moved from Huntersville to Charlotte and transferred my membership from the Huntersville location to the Sardis Rd. location and I have been more than happy with the gym during that time. It is ALWAYS clean, the team and owners are friendly, and the equipment is everything I need.
As someone who works out around 4:00am every day, having a gym open 24/7 is a huge plus. Anytime Fitness provides that flexibility by providing me access to the gym literally anytime.
The owners are constantly putting through improvements to the equipment and replacing items when they get worn out over time. They are friendly and welcoming and want everyone to enjoy their workout. I definitely recommend Anytime...
