Writing up my third review for my home away from home. Currently ranked #11 (E4zyw1n) on the local annual leader board, finished ranked #1 for the month of August and one of twelve players to reach rank 5 locally (on my way to rank 6 real soon) So I have gotten very familiar with the ends and outs of this place, flaws and all but I keep coming back because it is such an incredible atmosphere. There always a rush of excitement when your teams finally beats a level you previously struggled on. All the games are challenging and with plenty of variety between mental and physical obstacles thrown your way. Come prepared to exercise and watch the sweat leave your body in the most unique way possible. This is a group activity so I highly recommend grabbing a group of three to five players for the most optimal experience. While it is possible to play solo, it can be frustrating being overwhelmed in games that are designed for groups. I'm happy to see the popularity of the place really pick up as most evenings and weekends are pretty busy which is fine for casual play (more competitive players I would suggest finding off peak hours and weekdays to hone your skills) I'm hyper critical of any thing I invest my time and energy into and I'm sure the staff is already tired of me by now LoL. But no matter how much I gripe and moan over concerns or issue I report, they always respond to my feedback with enthusiasm and encouragement to continue to keep them honest. I truly have to tip my hat for their efforts to maintain such a state of the art facility even when it suffers growing pains along the way. I'm confident that Activate Game is committed to providing five star experiences to players and I will continue to support them as long as they do. Wish lists\Improvements to make: -Please upgrade our drink options besides that hot water fountain in the back -Audio descriptions and video examples of how to play games (text instructions don't always cut it) -Maybe lockers or cubbies in the middle (running all the way to the front to get stuff can be a bit of a pain) -Scoring and star systems better explained between annual and monthly -Ways to view monthly\annual scores plus badge progress (website or app) -Better guidance on badges and which ones are active (some end up not working correctly or vanish without warning) -Alarms when people overstay inside of a game room or enter while a game is still in progress (still happening too much) -More Activate staff teaching how to play games properly (they will help if you ask but it could be more proactive as a lot of people don't want to admit they don't know what they are doing) -Group finder events for people who want to experience Activate but can't find people to play with -Get those hats in the store ASAP (I'm earning mines sooner than you think and multiple players are closing in on it now) - Being able to get the video recordings of your play sessions sent to your email (already do it with pictures & there are cameras in every room already) Get Active!

Our family had a great time the other night here. We booked easily online for later in the evening. It wasn’t overly crowded but definitely not slow, was also a Friday so during the week would probably be less busy. We did had to wait a few times behind others (but it goes pretty quick). You check in, sign waivers and are shown how to start. You and your party take turns going through the different game rooms by scanning your wrist band. Each room has the option to view a quick break down and how to play before going in on the screens where you scan your wristband. You get an hour and 15 mins total and each room is quick, only lasting under a minute each or so. This we did find a smidge disappointing but did keep it fast paced and entertaining. Our favorite rooms were Hoops, hide, control, lasers and grids. We already booked another day next week to go back! Great for families with kids I would say over 6 -7 age group and up. Our 8 year had a blast and had no issue doing anything in any of the rooms. So much fun ! Will say to not majority of the room do require some form of physical activity with some being more than others. (Lasers -having to crawl under on floor to other side of room quickly and one room having to walk/jog in place but again, each game is quick and you can do whichever rooms as many times as you want in your hour and 15 ) We were a party of 4 myself, husband, son and mother (64) and we had a great time!

After reading an article about Activate I was ready to go. It was time for something different to celebrate our anniversary. I went online to register ahead it was quick and easy. You play a deposit to hold your spot. I completely understand why. I do tell you to arrive 15 minutes early and to wear workout clothes. The staff was very helpful since this was our first time they gave us a brief tour and how to play the games. I highly recommend: wear the workout clothes and stretching beforehand. Also, read the instructions on how to play each game to have the best outcome on the first try. We had an amazing time and burned a lot of calories. You get a full workout at this place. I can't wait to go back.

Wish lists\Improvements to make:

-Please upgrade our drink options besides that hot water fountain in the back

-Audio descriptions and video examples of how to play games (text instructions don't always cut it)

-Maybe lockers or cubbies in the middle (running all the way to the front to get stuff can be a bit of a pain)

-Scoring and star systems better explained between annual and monthly

-Ways to view monthly\annual scores plus badge progress (website or app)

-Better guidance on badges and which ones are active (some end up not working correctly or vanish without warning)

-Alarms when people overstay inside of a game room or enter while a game is still in progress (still happening too much)

-More Activate staff teaching how to play games properly (they will help if you ask but it could be more proactive as a lot of people don't want to admit they don't know what they are doing)

-Group finder events for people who want to experience Activate but can't find people to play with

-Get those hats in the store ASAP (I'm earning mines sooner than you think and multiple players are closing in on it now)

Being able to get the video recordings of your play sessions sent to your email (already do it with pictures & there are cameras in every room...

Truly one of the best go to activities for all ages. Each experience more LEGENDARY than the last with new games, new records and new memories. Great for small groups AND large groups. The sweet spot is 5 because each room accommodates up to 5.I invite people to join me an activate, a lot. Every time people ask me to describe what the experience is like. To this day, I'm still unable to do the entire experience justice with words alone. Sometimes I like to say its an "Arcade on steroids". There are fun games for all those competitive souls out there with the perfect mix of chill coop modes for anyone to have fun. The customer service is over the top excellent. One night I'll always remember was bringing 14 nerds (half of them new) expecting everything to go smoothly. As someone who's worked in customer service before I cringed as my friend came in one after another, each 1 min later than the last. Asking the same exact questions about payment, how the games work, where they can store their stuff, how to get set up, etc. Bella handled all my friends with grace and was very helpful in getting the large, immature, and silly group on the same page. Even when our experience was almost over, a HUGE storm knocked out the power briefly, it didn't affect our experience too much, maybe knocked out a game or two. But at the end they gave us a free voucher to revisit any other time we wanted, which showed their care for our time and money. It made for a great experience in the end. The worst part about this place is leaving, as there is an activate shaped hole...
