I never leave reviews but this was so overwhelmingly bad I couldn't leave it alone.
The menu prices are not accurate or have not been updated for pricing changes. Our tab was a full $11 more than menu. I challenged the point at the register and he apologized for not telling me and proceeded to start making up numbers to give us a $2 "discount" from the inflated price.
we ordered 12 wings with half and half flavors. We were charged for 6 and 6 separate. This is fine, it was annoying and no one does it this way, but whatever I guess so I didnt challengethis point. However, he charged us $1 for an extra ranch. If we paid for 2 separate wing plates, 2 ranches is not "extra".
all of the above would be better if the food was good but it was bad. Wings were dry, cheesesteak was just Steakums, fries were not cooked through.
service was okay I guess it first but at the end he said he would "let us have it this time" when he gave us the $2 discount and proceeded to explain how much his materials cost. It was the first time we had been there anyway, but either way you have to honor correct prices as advertised and doing otherwise is essentially stealing.
I left it alone and paid. I recently purchased a house less than a mile from this restaurant and was looking for a place like this to frequent. The way the situation was handled to squeeze out a few extra dollars from me essentially cost this business hundreds of dollars in future revenue from my wife and I as well as all the friends we would take. We plan on staying here for many years so it might be in the thousands. We usually tip...
Read moreBeen going to this establishment even before it changed over to Juliana Pizza and it was "That's a Pizza." Me and the owner of this great establishment go back over 26 years easy of customer and owner (she always asks hows my dad and step mom, That's true southern hospitality folks). The food esp the pizza is top notch. I have always gone in when Money (is highly affordable) right and I have time and in the area (This is the place to bring your dates Gentleman, save the bars/grills for your friends). In my whole lifetime of going here (this includes the original establishment) I can say only twice did I have a bad order. But As I said I go into eat (It's atmosphere is worth slowing down your day and relaxing to eat) and when asked if everything was ok with my meal? I had complained politely (which it seems some bad reviewers did not) and was refunded for the food that was bad (Wasn't the pizza, was a bad desert so no big whoop really). I highly encourage others to eat here for dates or just some alone time, but those with kids are welcome but those with children should go where kids won't get bored. This is an adult orientated establishment. Again Relaxed, easy music playing, not overly lit dining room. I'm from this area in Matthews and spent a lot of time and money and of all places. Juliana's is still the ruler of local restaurants. To boot when finished eating go across the street to Crown Point Cinemas for a movie (prob won't have room for...
Read moreToday I Ordered a small Pizza. I Ask the lady if they had a combination pizza on thin crust. She said yes. She told me what vegetables came on it and the meats. She mentioned a meat lovers. I said , no I don't want that, I want the one with the peppers , etc. I didn't open the box until I got home. There was no vegetables only meet. When I finally got home , I noticed there was no extra cardboard in the bottom of the box or wax paper. The grease from the Pizza was seeping through the bottom. It's a good thing that I asked for a bag or it may have fallen through by the time I got home! The pizza taste good, but I was disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered. Also how greasy it was. Oh I forgot to mention, I waited a bit long. I looked up and noticed a box sitting at the window for orders that were done. I asked the lady who was sitting down if my pizza was ready. She was very apologetic and hopped up and...
