My mom and I loveeeee the one in university but, ive recently moved to this side of town so we decided to try it out. First time wee Went here it was raining and close to closing time, service was good. So we added it to the list.
Fast forward to 4 days ago, we walked in and were sat quickly. Didn't see a server for a good 10 minutes. And the table behind us was frantically searching for their server to pay, this should have been a sign but, we really wanted this to work. Tried the salsa it was too spicy and asked the lady for mild she said okay and NEVER came back. Meanwhile we get a server to come over and gets our drinks, we waited another little bit to get those as well, I ordered sweet tea. It was nasty, no sweetness to it at all. I asked the waiter when he came back to take our order we asked him for mild salsa and to change my drink to Mt dew, he said okay to both and then walked directly to another table beside us and proceeded to take their order as they had been sitting there for a while and he just remembered they were there and his responsibility. We just walked out there was so much going on it would not have been a good experience at ALL. & WE WILL NOT BE BACK, they DEFINITELY need more training on how to deal with a busy restaurant or just how to deal with customers in general. Maybe get the servers from the one in university to come train them because the service there is AMAZING I don't know what or who dropped the...
Read moreReheated Food - As admitted by the Manager as the "Normal Process"!
After getting food that was clearly re-heated, I asked the Waiter if the food was reheaded. He said "Yes" and trying to be helpful he sensed my disappointment and asked if I wished to speak with the Manager. The exact conversation with the Manager is below:
Manager: Is there something you want to talk about? Myself: Yes, I am wondering if my food is re-heated or freshly cooked
Manager: Your dish is made in the Morning (we were there for dinner) and heated before being served Myself: Ok, is this how it is made everyday or is it just for today?
Manager: This is how we make it everyday. The dish is made in the morning and headed before serving. Myself: Has your restaurant always been doing this?
Manager: Yes. (I used to be meet at this restaurant every month as part of an Organization and order this exact dish but was cooked fresh before)
Myself: If someone else were to order this dish now or tomorrow, is this the same process? Manager: Yes
This restaurant has either switched from making fresh food to re-heating or I experienced a bad day when they had lots of leftovers from the previous night but as a policy they say that it is "always" cooked in the morning and heated for dinner. The word "Morning" could loosely mean any time...
Read moreI visited this location Feb.4 to celebrate my son's birthday. We were pleasantly greeted seated. Then a server came never introduced himself so I had to ask him what his name was. Doing dinner he barely checked on us, my niece ordered a quesadilla with shrimp bites it and didn't like it so we asked if we could exchange it for something else. Ruben (the server) says no because she all ready ate it which clearly was a lie when the quesadilla was still whole on the plate, and then said he would have to get a manager she came out to ask what other meal she would like. Minutes after we suddenly got switched to another server Rick. I asked why, I figured quickly Ruben didn't want to serve us any longer. Working in the service industry over 20 I have never been treated so disrespectful and experienced such an unwanted. I asked the manager Sandra what was the issue she said, "he decided to not continue to serve us". I never knew a server could do that unless they were feeling threatened or uncomfortable which neither me presented. No apology or accommodation was taken. I will never eat at a place where I feel unwanted and unwelcomed. This situation should have not be handled or happened the way it did. I will report to...
