I called to make a new patient appointment on June 19th for August 25th. According to the lady on the phone August 25th was the first available appointment for a new patient. So I booked the appointment. I had confirmed this appointment multiple times and even checked in online. They even called 2 days before to confirm the appointment. The following day, the day before the appointment, I get a call after 4pm saying I need to reschedule that I got left a voicemail in July saying that I need to reschedule that Dr Hill wouldn’t be in the office. I don’t delete anything and I never got a call nor a voicemail saying I needed to reschedule. Even if they did why was I getting calls, texts, and e-mails saying to confirm my appointment days and weeks before? I have been waiting weeks/months to see a Dr as my primary doctor is retiring and I have relocated. The next appointment that I can make is Sept 29th, another month away. I then asked if I could see someone else in the meantime that I had already been to urgent care and need to be seen by a primary doctor. I was told no that I had to do a new patient appointment first. That is not acceptable, and for them to respond back that I have good insurance that I can pretty much go wherever I want in the meantime is not an acceptable response. Nor is telling me to go the ER for a non emergency visit. Then I get a text this morning saying that I missed my appointment on Friday with Dr Hill. Like are you kidding me?! I have never in my life had such a horrible experience just trying to get an appointment and seeing it through. I will be seeking another primary doctor after...
Read moreMy son relocated to the Charlotte area and had to establish a new doctor. He called and scheduled an appointment for a physical, which was his first appointment at the doctors office. He was having trouble with headaches recently, and did notify the physician of this at the time, but no labs were ordered, which I found odd. I asked him to call them back and let them know that he would like labs ordered to check his levels since he did not get them for the physical. He called and left three different messages and spoke to three different people and all three of them said something different. The last young lady that he spoke with, told him that the office does not do physicals for the first initial appointment, which he was not aware of. He then asked other questions, the procedures on how they make appointments and getting his records and she told him that she did not know and when he asked if there was a supervisor or manager, she stated she did not have one and hung up. He has now been built for a general office visit and since it’s the beginning of a new year that cost out of pocket is almost $400 in this office literally did nothing but ask him a few questions and sent him on his way. This office does seem to be somewhat unorganized, and I did stress to him to find a new doctors office in that area. This office is getting $400 for nothing because nothing was done on that day but a few questions were asked and that was it. Please make sure that you all put people on the phones who are knowledgeable and actually want to do their jobs. We don’t mind paying for services as we know nothing is free, but...
Read moreI hate to leave a negative review a year later after my visit but nothing has been handled. I was seen a year ago now for an annual visit due to needing paper work filled out for my job. I was seen by Meron and another physician assisted her since she was in residency at the time (I was not aware prior, I just took the earliest next available apt). During this visit I address with them both my concerns, they then proceed to not fill out the paperwork, but when I go in my chart it seems like they did their job, they notated it very well. I was shot down because I was a new patient, and they said they couldn’t do anything for me, and told me to get lotion from dollar tree for my skin issues…. They also, wanted me to get blood work done, but I never did due to how the appointment went. I then receive the bill stating my visit was an “outpatient” as if they did anything, I explained to the billing dept and they did their part and I didn’t owe anything since it seemed like they billed it correctly as an annual. A year later I now AGAIN receive a bill for a copay I follow up again with billing, and was transferred to the main dept and was given Sue Mckellar’s information, reached out twice, and sent a detailed email. No response! I will not let up or will I pay this bill. My next step is reporting to my insurance. This practice only cares about your money and not your time or actual health. I don’t recommend! I’ve been to other atrium health locations that were nice and actually did their...
