I have 2 ranges/shops near me. Tried Blackstone first because it was closer and the staff was terrible. Not like, they annoyed me because I'm being a Karen, but more like in the top 3 worst service experiences of my life. (on par with a DMV in California.) So, I went to Carolina Sporting Arms next. Night and Day. Immediately greeted at the door and went to the back to check into the range. Some old timers were there and helped me out right away and were super friendly and informative. I went up to the range and began taking out my .22 to zero (only the second time I ever tried to zero a scope) Immediately a gentleman named Mike who's the head of training there, asked if I wanted a chair and rest to put the rifle on. He let me know it'd be a few bucks more on the bill but I was happy to grab it. I didn't even know it was an option. He even showed me there was a magnet to put my targets up on and offered to help me if I needed it with zeroing. That's some above and beyond friendly service, especially at a gun shop. After several attempts at zeroing it in I got close but wasn't figuring out how to get it dead on. I asked him for help and he nailed it in less than 3 tries. I was super appreciative and it was awesome to have someone there to not only help but to offer it. It gets even better. I ran out of.22 so I started running another 200 rounds through my 9mm. It was pretty new and only had 300 round through it the first time I used it. I kept hitting low and to the left. Without even asking, Mike came over again and without charge gave me some pointers on my grip to avoid that. I ran out of ammo but it could have easily been an awesome tutoring session. Not only was the service here great but it went above and beyond and was one of the best experiences anywhere. Seriously, it's hard to even get the bottom baseline experience anymore in 2023. (Today is now 2024) I'll definitely be going back there to purchase my next rifle and that will be my home range now for shooting for fun and zeroing scopes etc.. I'd recommend going here if you're in the greater Charlotte area, especially if you're a newer shooter who wants a helpful and...
Read more12/11/2020 I called and asked if the store had a Smith & Wesson M&P15-22. I was told they did have one. I said Iâd be there in 20 minutes to pick it up. When I arrived within 20/25 mi here - the same lady with the wonderful greeting and smile was there again. I asked for the sales rep who told me they had this rifle . He grabbed some ammo and put it on the sales desk. I said thatâs not what I called for . I called for the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22. The sales rep turned and walked toward a back room versus the sales display cases/wall... I thought by his sigh that this rifle actually wasnât there ... he came back from the back room and said - somebody bought it .. I asked in 20-25 minutes ? He said yes. I was thinking, can a background check take just 20 minutes ? As I live literally 20-25 minutes away .. so, basically a wasted trip . I did go look at the range to see if Joey may be there so I could say hello and did buy some gun cleaning items to have it not be a complete waste in my endeavor.. but , I think I may look elsewhere or have the sales rep make sure the inventory is there ... before buying a firearm here at the store...
June 25, 2020 I had a wonderful experience on July 25, 2020. Right at the entrance I was greeted with a smile from the lady upfront. I told her that I was a novice. She went over some suggestions and the price guide.
I was sent to rear of the store to sign a simple document . They then had me watch a informative and quick video before entering range.
For my payment - I received a 1/2 hour of training, glasses, ammunition and hearing protection/ear muffs...
I felt lucky to have Joey Attanasio as my instructor!! He was professional and patient with me. He definitely kept his promise that it would be a fun experience...!!
We went over gun safety , handling a firearm, the grip, the clip, loading and firing.
I canât wait to go back and I hope Joey is available...

Read moreOver the past 3 weeks we have searched and learned and been to many places concerning purchasing a gun and concerning joining a range club. We kept coming back to Carolina Sporting Arms. It being one of the closest places to our home helped. It is not the least expensive long term but for the first year I can't say I have found any better. Maybe I didn't look hard enough but the distance was also a factor so I would be able to make a point to go more often to practice and use my membership as far as the club goes. I am very pleased with the Club. I feel they look out for safety, taking care of health issues with shooting and are very professional. I feel if I ever need any help with anything it is available. I also am excited about various opportunities there are of interesting events with the range. I also am looking forward to the many class opportunities that we have as well. I also am very pleased with the guns and other equipment the store offers. Excellent service, people who have expertise and great knowledge and very welcoming and friendly. We have had a tremendous experience with this store and facility and my husband and I are very grateful to not only have purchased from them but also are very pleased that we joined their range club. Thank you CSA. I would also like to add that Don Bryant really did a great class for First Steps for Handguns. It was very informative and I greatly appreciated it. He is a wonderful teacher and I look forward to taking more classes with him. Thanks Don. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff. I really feel welcomed when I am in your store and range. Everyone is very warm and kind. Thank you so much. Thank to Don Ingram for the great help in our purchases and joining the club. Thank Charlie, Chris, Cameron, Monika, Megan, Zach, Dick and all the rest of you as well. Your all really a great...
