Let’s be real here, Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen in the area. So what makes you want to go to one establishment over the other?! I’ll make this choice simple got you. Costa Del Sol hit the experience of eating out on many levels. Before I get into the whole experience for you I want to be frank about my experience of the locations seating and tables. I sat in a two top, my seat was very wobbly and the table slanted down quite a bit. This his gave me a little uneasy feeling about what the rest of the time could be like. That being said, I was instantly offered a drink and educated immediately on the different choices I could choose. My drink came very quickly and was one of the better Horchatats I have had in a long time. I asked a couple questions about the menu items and was educated on them, made my selection and was unsold to a dish that was the same as mine but with shrimp. It was a fantastic upswell and was presented in a manner that was tasteful and not forceful. The food came out as well very quick and hot! The smell where wonderful and vibrant, the rice was steamy the beans where creamy and smooth, the salad was just as good as the steak and shrimp. The sides on this dish where not just sides to the meal but a partner to the protein that was to be the show of this dish! Flavors where all what the should be and more! I was checked on several times by different servers. Never felt like I was not attended to! Manager did his rounds and checked everyone’s experience while removing empty dishes or getting refills! The whole experience was 10/10 making the furniture issue not as relevant! With a small adjustment I’m sure these tables can be corrected and the seats bolted down a little more and this place would be a smooth Top 3 places to dine at in Charlotte for authentic...
Read moreMost horrible experience I've ever experienced. I'd give it negative 5 stars if they made that an option. I arrived around 7:40pm with my family for an early mother's day dinner. We quickly sat down and we placed our drink order along with our child's order so he can eat first. An hour passes by, no one checks on us. We had to flag down another waitress who was not ours to ask what is taking so long with our food. She comes back out with mine and my husband's but not my child's. I ask her about it and she then has our original waitress come talk to me about how it was never placed because she did not write it down. It's a freaking grilled cheese and fries. I ask her to place it and how long it would take. She told me 5 mins. Another 15 mins has pass. My husband's food and my food are cold at this point because we are waiting for our sons food to come. We ask again just to be told it'll be 5 more mins. We have wasted over an hour and a half at this point. I hate to have wasted food but we got up and left at this point Child was upset and crying because he was hungry and we were not about to stuff our face without his. It was a grilled cheese and fries, but yet they couldn't make it. We witnessed other families come in sit down and get their food, many people who had pick up orders came and left. Smh. What a bad mother's day dinner. Would not recommend this...
Read moreCosta del Sol is an absolute treasure for Mexican cuisine lovers! From the moment we stepped inside, the vibrant, sun-soaked decor and lively music transported us straight to the heart of Mexico. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect for everything from a fun family dinner to a festive night out with friends. The food was nothing short of spectacular. The fresh-made guacamole was a creamy, zesty delight, and the enchiladas suizas were bursting with rich, authentic flavors—perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Don’t even get me started on the carne asada tacos; the meat was tender, perfectly seasoned, and paired with fresh, hand-pressed tortillas. Every dish felt like a labor of love, with generous portions that left us satisfied but already craving more. The service was exceptional—our server was attentive, friendly, and full of great suggestions, making us feel like family. They went above and beyond, ensuring drinks were refilled promptly and even customizing a dish for a dietary restriction with a smile. The house margaritas? Pure perfection, with just the right kick of lime and tequila. Costa del Sol is a must-visit for anyone who loves Mexican food done right. It’s clear they pour their heart into every detail, from the food to the hospitality. I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable meal! 🌞🌮...
