OA Salons — Local services in Charlotte

Update 6/19/25: My daughter and I have been going to OA Salons now for over a year. We’ve continued to see Adrian and every single time we are more than pleased with our service! He does an amazing job and is so talented. We have baylage services and also haircuts with him on a regular basis. We leave every time with the best salon experience and have so much fun while we’re there.

Even though we specifically book with Adrian, the other stylists and assistants all know our names, then continuously check on us and ask if they can get us anything. Joke with us, converse with us and truly make us feel welcomed.

Olga, the salon owner, is also amazing. She is so full of personality and has an amazing team. She also does amazing work herself. All of her stylists are extremely professional and have such unique gifts and talents. They consistently strive to give every customer that walks in the door an amazing experience and they do it with an amazing attitude, friendly personality and a smile.

I would HIGHLY recommend OA Salons to anyone looking for a new salon “home” and would put them up against anyone in the area, they’re truly the best!!!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this salon! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly from the front desk staff, all the stylists & the owner. You can tell they all enjoy what they do and also love working with each other.

But, the best part of OA Salons is my stylist, Adrian Helms! Adrian has been doing my hair (and my daughters) since May of this year & his work is unmatched. He takes the time to listen to even the smallest detail of what I’m going for & it comes out more perfect than I expected every time. I can truthfully say we’ll never go anywhere else! I leave OA Salons feeling like I have “model hair” every single time.

Not only does Adrian do an amazing job with all of our services (baylage, baby lights, haircuts, etc), but he is so kind and funny! A day spent in the chair with him is total pampering accompanied by the best day with a friend.

I highly recommend Adrian to anyone who is looking for a stylist they can trust, have fun with & develop a lasting relationship with!

Not sure why everyone in this salon hates me so much, but they are all BEYOND rude. I’m not a rude or difficult customer by ANYYYY means, I’ve been way too nice to everyone here and been here multiple times to always leave with a bad feeling that I was never welcome here, but I literally wasted $500 last time just to leave with hair I hated and they knew I was going on vacation, and yet NOBODY would call or text me back to reschedule to fix it before I had to go on my trip. I just kept getting the “oh well call you back” run around instead of just a flat out honest “please don’t come back because we don’t like you at all and don’t want you to like your hair either:” I asked for dark roots with blonde hair, but somehow ended up with blonde HIGHLIGHTS which I never ever said I wanted, had it “fixed” to any ashy grey blonde, and now it’s just a horrible brassy yellow/ brown. I’m obviously not welcome here and will never be back because I’m not stupid, but I would STRONGLY recommend you to to stay away from this place unless you like being WAYYYYYY overcharged, treated like absolute garbage, and then leaving with hair that you don’t like/ didn’t want because they will NOT be nice about it or give you what you originally wanted. I even apologized profusely because I felt bad for some reason, went up and tipped the stylist $100 cash after already being overcharged $100+ to begin with, and they were still all so rude to me and made me feel like an absolute nuisance. I’ve never been treated so awful by ANY place like this before. I tried to give them time and the benefit of the doubt to hopefully try to reschedule something for me, but it’s been a month and I’ve still heard absolutely NOTHING back from them so I really had to leave...

Long story short I had tried to do one of the dumbest things on earth: bleach my own hair… with extensions in. Too embarassed to go to my original hair stylist- I got on google in the middle of the night to research who might be able to help fix my giant mess. I had texted the number listed on their website about what I had done- and I sent pictures as well. They had me in for a consult and the owner asked if I had time that day since someone canceled. I said yes I have time! Now this salon is in a very nice area of charlotte. The staff (and most of the clients) looked very well put together and nicely dressed. I (thinking this was a consult) arrived wearing sweatpants with a bleach stain on them and some old T shirt. I was still welcomed and treated very kindly by everyone there. One of my favorite things I noticed about the owner is how she goes around and says hello to every customer there. I think she really truly cares about her clientele and wants everyone to leave satisfied and happy! I even saw her jump in to help other stylists which I thought was awesome. Another thing I have never seen another salon do is work as a team. The owner gets a lot of the stylists together to ask about opinions, what should be done, how things should be done, and other suggestions. I think she goes above and beyond to create a learning environment! My stylist chance was assigned to me and she made my hair dreams come true. She was patient, knowledgeable and really paid attention to detail. Even though it took awhile, I got all the way back to platinum in one salon visit.
