Our Club kids got a chance to hoop it up with former Charlotte Hornets and Duke Men's Basketball star, Gerald Henderson. Henderson held a basketball clinic today along with his father, Gerald Henderson Sr., Garinger High School Basketball Coach LaTrez Chestnut and Wildcats players. It’s all part of a series of events, leading up to the Henderson Charity Golf Classic, benefiting our Boys & Girls Clubs.

My daughter LOVES it here! The staff actually feels like family. Mrs. Tanya, Mr. Rose, Ms. J, and the staff that they have to help are very helpful, and don't play about the kids. They don't tolerate hateful/bullying behavior, and I feel SUPER safe leaving our daughter here to be watched over.

I love the programs that they have for the youth, the participants/volunteers/organizations that they have to come by the CLUB, the communication that we receive, and the recognition that they give to the youth for doing great in school. Because of this organization, I never want to leave Charlotte!

The location is easy access with a plethora of space for school buses to drop kids off after school, I took a peek at the track, and it looks nice. They basically have everything that a parent is looking for in a facility...

I grew up going here when it was just called The Boys Club. Which shows you the age group I'm in.... lol. I attended the Boys & Girls Club during the late 70s and early 80s Anyway, the place was magic. I still recall fond memories of that period in my life. I love the fact that the place is still there and there hasn't been one time I didn't glance at it...

After school for my children when they were growing up was always spent at the Salvation Army. It kept them out of trouble and safe until I got off work around 4pm. I always felt very fortunate to live in an area that had a boys and girls club. They have been a blessing for me...
