I woke up this morning noticing that my prosthetic breast had popped and the inside stuff was oozing out. And I am going on my vacation in literally a month so I NEEDED another prosthetic. My other prosthetic was just too small and it didn’t match my left breast so I looked up some places to see if I can go purchase one today and I saw that these guys had great reviews so I went. I walked in and was greeted with happy faces and I spoke with Melissa and worked with Glenda. Glenda was soooo patient and caring and kind! And she made sure that I was not leaving without the perfect fit. And the best part is that I was waiting to see if my insurance was going to cover it but I hadn’t met my deductible yet so I was already under the impression before I arrived that I was going to have to come out of pocket a lot of money. Mastectomy items are just so expensive! And then Melissa and Glenda tell me that they are going to donate everything to me, I literally could have just balled crying because that’s something I was not expecting. And being only 29 having to deal with my situation, it’s a struggle to find cute bras, clothes, etc. They have sooo many cute items to choose from. I had to ordered the items I wanted but I left with another breast form and 4 bras. I got to the car, called my mom and just started balling crying. These people don’t know how much of a blessing in disguise they were to me today. And I am forever grateful to have met them. Moral of my review, if you know someone in need of post-mastectomy services or accessories in Charlotte, VISIT THEM!!!!!! It will be your one stop...
Read moreUpdate: the manager did call me a few months after I posted this review and offered to make things right. I have not been back yet because I have been busy but she truly cared and her offer was genuine.
I went to the location in Rock Hill in 2020 before it closed and the woman who helped me find a wig was really great and supportive. Fast forward to last month and I went to the one in Charlotte for bras. I won't be back even thought I prefer to shop locally. The selection of clothes/tops was pretty substantial however, you would think that a store catering to cancer patients would be warm and inviting but this store really was kind of run down. The woman who helped me did not take one measurement, just brought some bras out. At first, in the store, they felt very comfortable but now that I've worn them more, I don't find them comfortable anymore and they don't fit well. Also, they couldn't get my insurance benefits while I was there so they sent me home with three bras and said they would mail the rest. Now... crickets. I checked on my insurance and do not see where anything has been filed. I left a message the other day and never got a call back. And the hours are really inconvenient for anyone that has a 9-5 job or children, I had to get a babysitter just so I could go. I post this so that hopefully the owners can use it as feedback since the store hasn't...
Read moreWhat a disappointment!!!!! I drove in from Union County on Saturday to shop for a wig. The lady who "assisted" me told me that she did not know much about the wigs, that the person who usually worked this area does not work on Saturdays. I mentioned several times that I did not want a very short wig but that was about all she offered for me to try and finally said "Well, that's all I can do for you. Come back during the week". I was not thanked or shown to the door. This is supposed to be a place that has experience and compassion for women with cancer! I left with a very unpleasant feeling about ever visiting this establishment again. Unfortunately, Charlotte does not offer much in the area of wig shops and it is just another inconvenience to have to take time off from work during the week to be able to shop for hair. And when I do, I expect the courtesy that any retailer should show their...
