ATTENTION FUTURE CUSTOMERS OF WRIGHT JEWELERS
I took a cushion cut london blue topaz ring with diamonds and set in white gold to have it resized bigger, as it was too tight. I tried on the different ring sizes with the ring sizer measuring tool and thought we had agreed on a size. I go to pick up the ring, and Wright Jewerlers completely ruined the ring. For starters, I looked at the ring and immediately realized the ring did not look the same as when I dropped it off. The ring band looked warped and I could see where they cut the band to size it up. The band looked bent and had pits in the bottom of the band. The band was severely thinned out on the bottom side of the ring. The ring is now too big and the london blue topaz stone is now loose in the setting. I immediately told the lady waiting on me that I was not happy and that my ring is ruined. She then takes the ring back to the jeweler on duty, and he proceeded to grind it down further thinning the band out more. I was furious at this point. I ask for the owner, the lady at the counter told me he was gone for the day, and that he would call me tomorrow. She then told me there would be no charge for the ring sizing. I took the ring home and showed my husband and he agreed the ring was ruined. We waited on a phone call from Mr. Wright, and did not receive a call the next day. My husband called and asked for Mr. Wright, and the person on the phone said he was out due to neck surgery. So, not only did they ruin my ring, they also lied to the customer... My husband took the ring in the next day and had them look at the ruined ring. The manager had the jeweler on duty come to the counter, and he said there is nothing wrong with this ring, and that he had talked to Mr. Wright, and Mr. Wright stands behind the work without even seeing the ruined ring. The whole entire staff at Wright Jewelers both looked and acted very unprofessional. Again, the ring I took in to have sized is now too big, the band is thinned out with pits and dents, the band is warped, and now the stone is loose.
Since this horrible experience at Wright Jewelers, I have asked around, and someone told me that this same jeweler did the same thing to his wifes wedding ring, and he wished he would have known I was going there so he could have warned me before hand.
My husband gifted this ring to me to wear to my daughters wedding in May. Wright Jewelers has caused unnecessary stress and ruined my once beautiful ring and refuse to recognize their poor workmanship.
I hope this review helps other customers avoid having to deal with unprofessioanl behavior and find a more...
Read moreThe gemologists at Wright Jewelers are overcharging. I can no longer recommend Wright Jeweler to my family or friends. A few years back I bought my wife a solitaire diamond here. Then on a follow-up anniversary I bought a diamond wrap for her solitaire, and subsequently had Mr. Wright provide us with an insurance appraisal of the entire ring. Through wear my wife noticed two of the baguets missing on one side. I spoke with the manager at Wright Jewelers on the phone and she told me they could replace the missing stones and build up the gold channels for much less than anyone else. Therefore, I obtained two repair estimates for exactly what Wright’s said needed to be done and both estimates were about one half the cost (hundreds of dollars difference) than Wright Jeweler was going to charge me for the channel build up and replacing the missing 2 stones. Having had the two other estimates in my pocket, I asked the store manager since I had bought both the solitaire diamond ring and the diamond wrap previously from Wright Jewelers, would there be any consideration for a lower repair cost, and she responded, “Sorry the cost of the diamonds and gold build up have gone up!” Consequently, I walked out thinking why should I pay twice as much for a repair at Wright Jewelers when I had two other estimates from well-known Jewelers for much less? The store manager demonstrated absolutely no regard for the fact that I had made two large dollar purchases at their store previously. (My last visit to Wright Jewelers was on Wednesday,...
Read moreI’ll keep this fairly short, but our experience here has been pretty terrible. The diamond in my wedding ring has fallen out twice, despite me being incredibly careful with it. They originally set the stone, and after the first time it fell out, they charged us $600 to reset it; it fell out again just a few months later. Fast-forward to today, and they repaired it in a way where the diamond was overtly crooked, and the people at the front even admitted that yes—it was crooked.
They repaired it again, and it still looks absolutely awful. The prongs are uneven, and there’s a glob at the bottom where they soldered it. So we (finally) decided to go to another, highly-rated place on Gunbarrel. They immediately looked at it and basically said, “Oh, no. This is a bit of a mess.” They also measured it and found that the stone WAS STILL LOOSE. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have not lost my diamond the two times it fell out. I share this story for anyone who entrusts this company with sentimental, irreplaceable jewelry; please learn from my experience and find a place where they take better care...
