In the age of the big box stores and Amazon..Erskines is a refreshing throw back, to an earlier period in time. Its a quintessential New England grain and hardware store. For anyone who is interested in gardening or projects around their home - this is the place to go. The owner ( Mike ) is extremely knowledgeable and both he and his staff are very friendly and helpful. The store is not handicapped accessible. You are going to have a hard time getting up the stairs with a cane or a walker. It's crowded, the shelves are close together. You can ask the clerks to carry out heavy bags to your vehicle and they will happily oblige. The clerks are friendly and knowledgeable. I find that their prices are higher than average The parking lot is very large and unpaved. When I visited in May, there were a few pot holes in the lot. They were easy...

Dogfood , biscuits ,cat food, bird seed you name it you'll probably find it . Friendly staff. June 2023 Found myself this spring blessed with plants for a garden area no soil, no compost, no truck. Called Erskine's. Prices not too bad and local. They will deliver locally for a minimal charge. A friend picked up my order for me. Friendly and helpful on the phone for information...
