East East Oriental Market — Local services in Chesterfield

I have posed this on Tony’s K page. But I feel my BAD experience are more relevant to the cashier of this supermarket, and I should also share my experience on the supermarket page.

BAD ATTITUDE and POOR COMMUNICATION NO APOLOGIES for their fault

I have been waiting in line for more than 10 min. However, when it was my turn, the cashier asked me to go to the end of the line. I was confused and asked her to explain why. Her English is not good and it took a while for me understand that she though I cut the line. And then, I explained again and again that I was the next. She didn’t accept my explanation and insist to ask me to the end of the line. Until all other customers helped me to confirm that I was truly the one before all of them. My wife and I walked in here a few days ago and after about ten minutes, we just ended putting everything back on the shelves (where they belonged) and headed down the street to another Korean market.

This place does have a large variety of products from East Asia, but the store felt cluttered, disorganized, and the prices seemed higher than other Korean stores in the area.

I think the final straw beyond the prices was when my wife kept coming across items that require refrigeration in the regular aisles or just stacked on the floor.

When I am craving for some Korean bbq, I would go to this Korean grocery store for supply. They have all variety of meat that is sliced and prepared. They have brisket, sliced ribeye, rib steak and pork belly. They also have a wide variety of marinated sauce. I also love their kimchee. If you like spicy Korean instant noodles, this is the place to go. Staff are friendly and helpful. Now they open a restaurant called Tony's K-food inside the store.
