Duped? Scammed? by the eyebrow threading women. I believe itâs the âGlamour and Graceâ store, I hope Iâm correct. She had minimal signage so I may be wrong.. The women pulled us in saying âlet me show you something, it will only take a secondâ and offered to show us threading and how it works.. She acted as if it were free, never said anything about price, she said âit will only take a second, no worryâsâ. So she insisted my husband sit and she pulled out a string and started threading his eyebrows. Note; Where we come from you have to legally state approximately how much a service costs before doing the service on a client, so we thought it would be free. When she was done I said âcool, thank you and we were trying to leave and she was extremely pushy and said âlet me just quickly do your eyebrows. Iâm really good and itâs been slow today, we have timeâ she kept saying âno worryâs my darlingâ as if it was no worry about cost when I asked.. She then showed my husband products and insisted he tried them.. Again, in no way saying prices. My husband really didnât want to buy anything but she said âjust try them, and if you donât like them - I have a location in your city. We take back all products and refund even if itâs used, no worryâsâ. She âpromisedâ and explained exactly where her other location was if the product wasn't what we expected. My husband being nice and under pressure said âokayâ and she brought up her square reader and swiped his credit card. She also said she was giving him the second product âfor free, because she likes usâ - after we left he said âshe charged me $90.â I said, âwell, it better be good product.â Later that evening I looked the product up and itâs sold on amazon, 3 for $27. So she sold us 2 products for much more than they are worth and my husband agreed to return them. When we went to her âother locationâ it was non existent, even the shop number on that same floor of the mall that she told us did not exist. We went to the mall directory and they said the store number doesnât exist. We even went to every threading location in the mall and they had never seen the product before. I tried looking up the business to contact her directly to try and send the products back and the phone number isnât in use. Just disappointed. Even threading is $10-$15. With the product, It just doesnât add up. A store thatâs run this way should not be in a Premium...
Read moreI felt so terribly unsafe there, today (I was by myself - never again!). It is a Monday, with not many shoppers in sight. I also noted that my cell signal was very intermittant.
After shopping awhile I went into food court to grab a bite - it was noon, and almost vacant, except for a 20-something couple seated 2 tables away and 2 elderly ladies further down from them, whom I asked where I might find a Ladies room (which they pointed out).
The younger woman was very hyper-fidgety and kept looking at me, then whispering to her male companion - then he looked at me, and she laughed and nodded. No big deal, I thought.
Then I went to the restrooms, which are down a very long, vacant corridor which includes two turns before arriving at the bathrooms.
As I made the first turn, I realized that woman was BEHIND ME. I thought about the jewelry I am wearing and the shopping bags I was carrying, and realized how easy it would be to become a victim of crime in this very secluded part of the building! NOBODY would hear anything, if I needed help and called out in this area - and I had NO CELL SIGNAL.
My inner sense of danger poured over me, so I picked up my pace, scurried past the next turn, and while out of her sight for that brief moment, went into the Family Restroom and locked the door. (Another alarming thing was seeing mounted next to the soap dispenser a box to discard SHARPS - with pictures of syringes. Seriously??? Is this Outlet Mall known to attract druggies?)
I waited quite awhile before coming out, and vowed to never...
Read moreNice mall with some great spaces and stores but it is definitely aging poorly.
There's a wonderful "food pavilion" space but only a single restaurant remaining in the space and it was closed when we were there. There are a few outdoor food stands that are neat and they seem to provide good service.
The restroom corridor of the food pavilion is in great disrepair. The floor tiles are destroyed and there are white posters pinned all along the walls that appear to be covering holes in the walls. (Posters not pictured)
I hope the property management company will renew this mall, which isn't very old, and bring in some great new tenants to make use of their beautiful food pavilion.
UPDATE: We took another trip to this mall today and were pleasantly surprised to find they had given it some much needed love. There are now three vendors in the food pavilion and several still in the outside space. The mall was quite alive (full of people). I'm happy to see things going well for this...
