My husband and I are second generation Polish American but we're never taught to speak Polish. We keep our family traditions and live locally to this shop. My husband went there a week ago to ask if we could place an order for babka, something we always got from our mother-in-law at Easter and wanted to do for our children. They would not take an order, said they were getting extra in on Friday. We both worked on Friday and could not be there when they opened. I called at 9 asking if some could be put on the side for me, I would be there at 3. The woman I spoke with was short said we don't take orders, I asked again saying not an oder could she just put them on side for me, she told me too busy to call back ( they just opened). I tried 3 other times to call and it went to voice mail. We went down at 3 to find only 1 left. As other poster stated, if you don't speak Polish they are rude to you, we stood there at the register waiting to be checked out for several minutes being ignored (there were 4 employees working). They are a poor example of the Polish people. My family and my husband's would bend over backwards to help people. Earlier this week we went to the Polish section of Philly to buy other traditional foods and everyone we met and delt with were so kind, helpful and friendly, true Polish attitudes. We will be looking for another Polish market, even if we have to travel. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve went to this place for YEARS, since theyāve opened. The last time I went, will be the last time I ever go. I waited in line for over 45 minutes, when I got to the counter, they skipped right over me and helped the polish family behind me. I had to fight to get someoneās attention just to order and they had an attitude the whole time. Then while checking out they had the nerve to say āwell maybe you should learn polish to orderā The service is horrible, never again!
Glad you can take the time to respond with a snarky remark, but not work on customer service. It didnāt happen the day before I posted this review, but good try on that one. Iāll post about whatever happened, if you donāt want people to comment on it. Maybe you shouldnāt let it happen š have the day...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would give this place zero stars if I could. If you speak English only they will look down on you and not bother with you. No customer service. They asked people standing in line if you were just checking out instead of waiting in a mile long line for the deli. We said we were. Went to the cash register only to continue to stand there as the girl rang up 3 more people and ignored us. Being 4th generation Polish I am disappointed with how they...
