I had high hopes for this location based on the reviews, but unfortunately, my experience fell short. I usually shop at Potomac Floral Wholesale, which I really like, but I wanted to explore other wholesalers in the area to see if I could find a place with either more selection, better pricing, or both.
When I arrived, there was only one person working, which made it a bit difficult to navigate as a first-time customer. He greeted me and checked in while I was browsing, which I appreciated. However, I quickly noticed that their selection wasn’t nearly as extensive as Potomac Floral Wholesale’s. I still took my time, hoping to give this place a fair shot.
I came in with a budget, and while I understand that only one person was working, I’m used to receiving a lot of assistance at Potomac Floral Wholesale, where I never feel rushed. When I was finalizing my selections, I felt pressured to make a quick decision. Wanting to explore my options, I asked if he could point out flowers that were considered high-end or luxury, but he flat-out told me no, stating that he was alone and couldn’t assist me further. That response caught me off guard, and I left feeling unsatisfied with both the customer service and overall experience.
Additionally, he mentioned that he was being generous with pricing, but compared to Potomac Floral Wholesale, I actually found this place to be slightly more expensive. Given the lack of selection and the customer service experience, I don’t see a reason to return.
For anyone in a similar position—new to the floral business and looking for wholesalers—I’d personally recommend sticking with Potomac Floral Wholesale. They have a wider selection, better pricing, and a much more helpful staff. I wanted to give this place a fair chance, but I didn’t leave feeling confident about coming back.
*“Update: I appreciate the response from the owner. However, I wasn’t expecting a design consultation—I create my own designs, and that’s not at all what I asked for. I simply wanted basic guidance on high-end selections, which is something I’ve received at other wholesalers. My main concerns were about the selection, pricing, and overall customer service, which I still feel weren’t properly addressed.
I also found the response to be quite defensive. Mentioning that I browsed for an ‘extended period of time’ feels unnecessary, as I was simply trying to make an informed purchase. I did acknowledge in my original review that you checked in while I was browsing, and I appreciated that. However, I was also the only customer physically in the store at the time. I understand there are other tasks to handle, but as with any business, when a customer is physically present, they should be prioritized.
Additionally, while I did appreciate the accommodation with my stroller, that wasn’t the main issue—it was the lack of assistance and the overall rushed experience. The tone of this response is a clear reflection of my experience at this location—dismissive and unaccommodating. I wanted to give this place a fair shot, but unfortunately, I didn’t leave feeling confident about...
Read moreDanisa’s made my whimsical wedding dreams come true! I was a DIY bride, partly to save money and partly because none of the florists I found really understood my vision and kept telling me they couldn’t get the flowers I was looking for (particularly burgundy dahlias). I found Danisa’s on Google and they had all the unique and rare flowers I was looking for and then some! Cesar was an absolute gem. He was so warm, kind and professional. Truly an expert, he provided me with incredibly helpful advice and made me feel much less overwhelmed. He provided recommendations on what would compliment my choices. This was all done over the phone as I live an hour away. His wife, Ana Maria was also lovely and made the payment process seamless. When I came to pick up my flowers, I couldn’t help but happy dance! The flowers in person were gorgeous. Truly the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen in my life. My bridesmaids and I got to work and made 7 centerpieces, 6 bouquets, 7 boutonnières and 3 corsages. It helped that one of my bridesmaids used to work as a florist but mostly thanks to Danisa’s flowers, everything came out perfect! Do not hesitate to get all your flowers for any occasion at Danisa’s. Even if you don’t live close, the drive is worth it. The prices are affordable (I think I spent between $700- $800 for all of the wedding flowers I mentioned above), the quality is supreme and the customer service is impeccable. Take it from someone with high standards, Danisa’s...
Read moreI used Danisa's Flowers for my niece's wedding in Pennsylvania this past July. I had recently taken a flower arranging class at Danisa's and was very pleased with the quality of the flowers and the approachability of the staff. With the knowledge from the class and the staff at Danisa's to help I decided to give it a go even though I was concerned about transporting the flowers to Pennsylvania. Everyone at Danisa's was extremely helpful with selecting flowers that would hold up, color selection and quantities needed. The flowers were packed in boxes with ice to keep them fresh for the five hour car ride. It was an extremely hot and humid day, but the flowers arrived in perfect condition. Not one of them was damaged or wilted. The flowers were picked up on Wednesday for a Saturday wedding. Not only were they fresh for the Saturday wedding, but also the roses and hydrangeas had opened up and were very full for my niece's special day. After the wedding, the flowers were still so fresh and beautiful that my niece was able to donate them to an agency that delivers them to nursing home residents. I would highly recommend Danisa's to anyone. Everyone at the shop was very helpful and professional. I never felt rushed and they were always happy to spend extra time with me to insure that my selection was exactly what I wanted. Thank you to the team at Danisa's for helping to make my niece's wedding a...
