I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in 2013. I decided to go with my insurance carriers "network shop" in order to avoid any issues with workmanship because they offered a lifetime warranty on all repairs. The workmanship on the repairs that cost the insurance carrier around 9k looked good on the outside. The first thing to go was my engine liner, it was zipped tied to the vehicle and flung off in the highway almost causing an accident. I took it back and was replaced with a brand new liner, only to find out that the clips that where used to hold it together began to fall off. (They didn't use the vehicle originals) Months later the workmanship showed its true colors. My front bumpers paint started to peel, the bumper itself started to come off and my headlights bulbs just died. My vehicle had aftermarket HID bulbs which they charged me additionally for because only one was damaged in the accident. Months later it stopped working because of a short (it was installed incorrectly). They replaced it. This time they lasted a bit longer, only to blow out again. I had a specialist remove them at DSP Auto only to tell me that someone had drilled a hole on the back of both headlights to facilitate the installment and run the wires through there. This is why the bulbs would burn out, water and moisture would get into the headlamp and burn the bulbs. I took my car back to their shop to get repainted. I asked that they call me when the job was complete. I never got a call back, i had to hunt them down and ask if my vehicle was complete. Hector stated the vehicle was complete and was ready. I had to go pick up my vehicle after their work hours only to find that my vehicle was outside the shop with a completely flat right rear tire, the bumper was sticking out from the sides and bumper clips where on the windshield. I was forced to leave the vehicle there again. I followed up and they said the repairs where done again. Finally the front bumper looked good. Days later it started coming off again, the blue they had put on the sides of the bumper began to come off. I have emailed them and the insurance carrier advising them to repair my car and now all of a sudden all the damages are not related and not covered. I have begun legal proceedings against this body shop. Do not, DO NOT use their services. I'm a pretty easy going guy, and never even asked for a rental vehicle due to the inconvenience of their poor workmanship. I will see you guys in court with all documents and pictures proving my case. Good...

He recommended I get it from salvage and they'd put it on for me. I called to make sure it was okay to have the part delivered to their shop, Hector said no problem. When it arrived, I came in to make sure they had all the clips/parts they needed to install it. The guy said they could re-use some of the clips and he had everything they needed for the job and quoted me $25. I agreed to come in the following week to install. When I arrived Hector told me the clips wouldn't work and he needed to order them. He promised to order them right away, and he did. I came in again today for the install. In 30 minutes Hector said they were done and handed me an invoice for $77. I said the last guy told me $25 but I'd pay the $11 for the clips. He said they'd honor it but he seemed annoyed. When I went out to my car, I saw that three screws were missing from the moulding. I went back in to ask about it. Hector came out and said that was a different part that needed to be ordered. When I looked disappointed he threw up his hands and said, "This is the last time I let a customer bring in a part." I explained that I came in two weeks ago for you to check the parts so this exact thing could be avoided. Hector maintained that if they had gotten the part themselves this would not have been a problem. He made no offer to fix it, make it right, or apologize. He was unprofessional and tried to blame me for something his co-worker missed. Not only that, but they were ready to let me drive away with a part that was only partially fixed. I'm disappointed and won't be coming back.
Previous Review: Had a great experience! Scheduled an oil change and was in an out in record time. Andres was very friendly and gave me some advice on a body repair I'd been considering. Just picked it up today and it is perfect. Every interaction I've had with New Again has been easy, on-time,...
Read moreHigh Integrity Company! High Quality Services! Thoughtful Customer Communications! Empathetic and Competitive Expenses! I have known and done business with the Owners/Leaders of New Again Auto Repair for close to 20 years, at a previous location and at the current facility, 9200 Talbot Ave., Silver Spring, MD.
They have performed a number of (insured and uninsured) auto-body repairs for me on multiple family vehicles (e.g., vehicular accidents, teenager or caregiver dings and dents, etc.) on multiple family vehicles (e.g., SUV, MiniVan and sedans).
In every engagement I've had with New Again, I've appreciated their candid assessments of what the damages are; what expenses are probable; and how the expenses can be mitigated dependent upon the types of parts available (new, refurbished, used).
As a long term customer, I've also been able to seek and receive honorable discounts when the vehicle damages (created by kids, caregivers, etc.) were uninsured.
Notably, in every engagement I've had with New Again, I have NEVER been disappointed. Whether the work involved extensive or light repairs to my vehicles, they have performed those repairs with very high quality. They've kept me or my related family member abreast of savings or additional expense hurdles as the work progressed. And, as earlier noted, they've worked either me or my auto-insurer (GEICO for +/- 15-Years) to ensure the highest integrity work be performed at the most thoughtful cost.
So, I unequivocally recommend New Again as a destination resource for anyone seeking Auto-Body repairs in the area.
NOTE also that New Again performs mechanical and structural repairs also but.... they have always demonstrated enough impartiality to decline work that is OUTSIDE of their expertise AND recommend specialized labor if they are not able to address the matter (e.g., mechanical repairs of a Lamborghini). LoL
Go see them.
