BEWARE LEST YOU HAVE BUYERS REMORSE! Not happy with their customer service. I took my phone for a screen replacement in Dec. The screen started separating about 2 months ago. Then the numbers on the right side wouldn't respond to the touch. I took my phone back to see if they would honor the job they did. I was told that there is only a month warranty. WOW, it's only been 5 months since they replaced the screen and they would not honor the job they did. The screen was defective. There are lemons. They wouldn't admit that the screen was defective. They told me that my phone had been in water. I've never dropped it in water. I had taken the phone to Verizon the day before and they checked it and said there was no water damage. I also took it to another repair shop and they said there was no water damage as well. In addition I was told that 3 parts were missing from my phone. I had them write what parts were missing and went back to Chico iStore. I told them I wanted the parts that they took out. Jeff, Tyler's father, told me that 1 one of the parts wasn't necessary. REALLY. The other 2 parts he forgot to put back. He asked me to leave the premises when I was venting my unbelief and frustration. He also picked up his phone like he was going to call the police on me. Crazy. I told him I wasn't leaving until I received the missing parts. He was very rude. Once again he told me that there is only 1 month warranty. He acted as if 5 months later I should expect my phone to work well was outrageous. I asked to have Tyler, the owner's number. Jeff the dad said he didn't have it. Now who's lying. They would rather have an unhappy customer than to replace a defective screen. What are they doing with the extra parts? Selling them on ebay? I wish I had read the reviews in Dec. I would have stayed away from this business. Getting your phone back with missing parts seems to be a common occurrence with this company. They seem to use low quality screens.
After Chico istore refused to honor a damaged screen, I took it to a reputable business and it came with a lifetime of the phone warranty. That's good business! This other business also said and showed me the inside of my phone, there was no water damage just like I said. It's hard to be water damaged when I've NEVER dropped in water.
If no stars were an option, that's what they would have gotten. They don't even deserve 1 star.
DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DON'T HONOR THEIR PRODUCT! I will also be putting a claim in with the Better Business Bureau.
Response to your response; I just read your response. Never was I offered to have the screen replaced for $25. Secondly, you told me that it had water damage and that is why the screen was separating. Which it did not, It never had been submerged or came into contact with water. That fact was substantiated by another reputable business. It was a defective screen which you would not admit. You are a shady business, why would I ever step back into your store. That won't be a problem. The person I dealt with was very rude. Not only are you and the other person I dealt with rude but you are also a liar. If I had been offered to have it replaced for $25, I might have done that. You wanted me to pay the regular charge for another screen replacement. Read moreI split water on my laptop while it was charging and it immediately shut down. I was pretty sure something short circuited and it was done for. I took it to Best Buy Geek squad, told them what happened and that I thought it was done... They plugged it in and when it didn’t turn on said it wasn’t going to be worth fixing because the replacement parts were going to cost upwards of $800. They suggested I have them recycle it or call Apple. I was really disappointed, I thought they would at least take a look at the inside and try to fix it, but instead suggested I recycle it and look into purchasing a computer there. It was a huge let down mostly because it seemed they didn’t even want to take the time to look at it.
Before calling Apple I decided to try Chico Istore as they specialize in Apple products. Within 40 minutes my laptop was on and working again! They took the time, cleaned the inside and it is back to normal! No need for ordering new parts. I am in shock. And so glad I didn’t listen to best buys advice of recycling a perfectly good computer. Istore only charged me $250 and I was about ready to spend upwards of $400 for a refurbished laptop from Best Buy. Chico Istore really cares about the quality of service they are giving thier customers. And not interested in trying to get you to spend more money. If you have a damaged apple product I recommend them 100%. They will take the time with your device and do everything they can to fix it, and will not overcharge you. Read moreI took my daughters Ipod 5 that we bought from ebay into the store on a Wednesday to have the data from her other ipod transferred over. At first it seemed as though they were trying to explain to me how to transfer the data myself which I appreciated because it was going to save me $20 but I didn't have time and frankly would have rather paid them the $20. They explained to me that it wouldn't be a big deal and shouldn't take much time. They agreed to do the work and so I left it there. I called on Friday just before closing because I hadn't heard from them and they said they hadn't gotten to it yet but it would be ready on Monday. I never got a call so I called 5 minutes before closing on Monday and they told me that for some reason they weren't able to do it and I should come and pick it up and they wouldn't charge me. He acted like he was doing me a favor by not charging me, there was no service performed so I wouldn't expect to be charged. I would have appreciated a call when they realized they couldn't perform the work instead of me proactively having to call them to find out what was going on. If they didn't want to do the work because the $20 wasn't worth it then they should have told me that from the outset. I took it home and watched a you tube video and was able to do it in 20 minutes.
