This long review is necessary: I left this salon happy as can be, skipped and danced all the way to my car, and I feel a million times lighter/brighter! It was my first time booking with Maddie and oh my goodness did she CHANGE my life. I don’t get my hair done often after experiencing chemical burns across my back due to a stylist forgetting to put a cape on me and letting bleach/other products seep through my dress…and it took 3-4 sessions to fix the patchiness too. That was 3 years ago and I haven’t been back to a professional salon since, so it was quite nerve-wracking to trust someone new again, especially with this being vacation hair. However, the second I sat in Maddie’s chair, I knew I was in GREAT hands and she was extremely attentive not only with my hair, but also with making sure I was completely comfortable the whole time (thank you for the popcorn girl!😋🍿). She listened with full attention to what was bothering me (my hair had gotten thick towards my roots so it gave me what felt like a mullet haha) and it lacked cuteness/movement in it. She helped me thin it out, gave me GORGEOUSSS/easy to style layers and a very natural toned balayage. I do a majority of my own self-maintenance because I know that I can be picky, but not once did I ever feel the need to question or correct Maddie. She is a wonderful and gentle-handed professional!!! I’m unfortunately used to being a little disappointed after hair appts. but she brought my hair vision to LIFE. It was even better than I envisioned. I was so speechless that I forgot how to get up from the chair for a second haha. I also had my waxing done with Candace (second visit)- she makes you VERY comfortable, she’s fast, and attentive as well! Gosh they’re just all sweethearts and so good at what they do. I had wonderful easy-going/flowing conversation with both Maddie and Candace. The energy between the employees and the atmosphere of the salon was just so uplifting and light…it has definitely made me change my mind on only coming in once a year. I LOVE this place. I had an appointment to get my hair done for my birthday. My appointment was canceled last minute, but I was told if I washed and dried my own hair they would squeeze me in to flat iron it. They styled my hair in about 20 minutes. When I went to paid the amount shocked me. I was told I was being charged extra because they had to squeeze me in. I was charged more than I would have been if they had done all the work themselves. This was a very disappointing experience and it’s extremely sad. I hope no one else has to go through this.

The response tells me the issue wasn’t understood. I was charged extra for less service. That is unethical. I was ripped off. Don’t state that there was an extra service when I did two thirds of the work myself while paying more. Cati had started the process on my hair about a year ago and I’ve been happy every single time I’ve been back! I started with black box dyed hair, and it is now a beautiful blonde color. She has taken the time to make sure my hair wouldn’t snap off, while being honest with the process, saying that it would take a while. My hair has had an amazing transformation, with only losing just a little bit of hair. I will continue to go back for more sessions to get the color to completely how I would like it to be. But in between those times, I have always left really happy with my hair. She and the other staff members are very professional and do their best to accommodate everyone. Every time I come in I am always greeted with a friendly smile, and leave with a smile on my face as well. The salon takes the Covid restrictions very serious, and keep a very clean place.
