So there is no ZERO out of 5 ? Unfortunately FLOYD FITNESS should be rebranded as FLOYD FARMA. Very little attempts are made to focus on health and fitness but their main priority is THE SHOT. It's a VAX question immediately upon walking in as opposed to their gym's offerings which seem limited to old equipment. No Fresh Juice, or Good Coffee or Lounge Area or Weight Scales or Body Fat Testing.. It's not "Fitness and Health" But "PHARMACEUTICALS & ORDERS" From The Top. There was NO one actually in there exercising, and no classes except one for " the elderly " as per the desk attendant. Whats next? Tests upon entry ? Are boosters mandatory ? How many boosters are enough ? And will you take a drug test of every member everyday ? Wanna come monitor how many beers I have the night before I work out while i have dinner and watch the game? No TEMP Checks, No Rapid Tests, NO FRESH AIR. Its just VAX or go. Seemingly also they don't offer exceptions to/ for Medical Conditions or Religious Status or Heath Status ( i.e. Immune Disorders ) That's unfortunate as they are the only gym in town but when I compare working out in a dark, stale, stagnant storefront in a mall, as opposed to hiking the Blue Ridge trails, biking on trails , kayaking, tubing, doing yoga, home based workouts, cycling on local roads, kettle bell workouts , buying a rowing machine and/ or boxing bag.... Why deal with these Pre-emptively Aggressive tactics, and pay some" Opinionated Owners" who are using a business to attempt to pressure you into doing something thats perhaps not good for your "HEALTH and FITNESS " based upon your own particular Health Scenario. Its a shame... hopefully It will flip to a new owner soon so it can get a makeover and become a more positive experience. I'll see you out on the hiking trail, out biking, walking, joining the workout team at the Library in Town, at Yoga Jam, Climbing, doing Martial Arts in Floyd and far away from your Pharma Mandate and sweaty old equipment. Get outdoors, enjoy nature. IT'S FREE. Nature and Health are your competition, in addition to your own...
Read moreStarted back in January 2024. I was told that they were getting new equipment in the new owners were going to update some things there. It is now July 2024 and after speaking with some other gym members that go there they stated that they were told 3 years ago that they were going to be some changes and upgrades to the equipment. I personally know the original owner of that gym and the majority of that equipment is equipment that he had back in the early 90s. I've been lifting weights since I was 13 years old. In all honesty the membership fee that we're paying for that facility is overpriced for the outdated equipment. I'd really like to see them keep their rates as is with better quality and updated equipment. ei, Hip thrust, hack squat, shoulder press,...
Read moreWish there was a zero star option. Over priced. They don’t have a no commitment option. Not open as much as they could be. Gym is small. And worst of all there vaccination nazis. Can’t go Unless you “ have your papers”. Went to planet fitness for 1/4 of the price. And no commitment. Tons of more equipment. 24 hour most days. And they don’t...
