T & E Small Engine — Local services in Christiansburg

Incompetent manager!! Took my weed eater to get fixed needed a carburetor and bubble. Also took Josh's up there to get fixed. We called on the 29th of May to ask what was going so long and what it needed, they told us it needed a carburetor so they ordered it. We asked how much everything would be they said 105 after tax.(5/29). Went to go pick them up today and it's 120 some dollars after tax. I'm trying to explaining that we were told it was 105 after tax on the phone and he said that he didn't remember the conversation over the phone then proceeded to say that he remembered 95% of the conversation. Where's the other five? I remember the five! Wants us to pay 20 some other dollars for Josh's weed eater. Not very good communication. Also got the receipt for everything and for some reason the carburetor was $50 when it should be less than 20 so I was automatically thinking that Josh's was within the 105 not to mention my weed eater still sounds raspy and is still hard to start and sticks. I totally could have bought a new weed eater instead of all of this, if I could do negative Stars I would. Do better T&E!!! Also forgot to mention that they hung up after I asked why the carburetor was so much and if they got a carburetor pack or just the carburetor and didn't answer me. Had to call back. I think next time I'm either just going to buy a new weed eater or drive to Christiansburg. Totally not worth your time...

Our tired needed literally just air in it and they said it would be $8. It’s a tubeless tire and we just didn’t have the right amount of pressure to get the bead back on. I go to pick up the tire and the lady tells me it’s going to be $30 and I told her that’s not what I was told yesterday and that they said $8. I could have gotten a new tire for $30. She said they put a tube in it and that’s why it was $30. Well my husband knows how to put a tube in a tire and for $10 he could have done that himself or bought a whole new tire for $30. I told her I was calling my husband and she went to talk to the guy that worked on it and then just didn’t say a word to me for 10 minutes or more and just went in her office and then came out after an awkward amount of time passed and said, “did you figure it out?” I don’t know what there was for me to figure out but I just said whatever I’ll just pay it because I had my 16 month old with me and I clearly wasn’t going to get them to do the right thing in this situation. I tried to support a local business but this was an overall bad experience and I will be going to someone else...

Wow, I went in this morning looking for a saw chain and a bar for my Husqvarna chainsaw they had it the price was right the young man that helped me when I came in was very professional and helpful and not only that someone else came in behind me and the girl from the office immediately came out and helped him which showed me their well-managed and well-run I strongly recommend t & e small engines. It appears Audrey f only does reviews when she's angry. Belts are rarely bad are always destroyed by improper use. I've seen the Audrey's of the world in my business and I'm sorry that t & e had to get a review from someone that doesn't review everybody good or bad. This was my first visit to t&e but it will not be my last. I would much rather pay less for my saw chain there than I paid for it at big box Lowe's last time...
