Arrived in Cicero from the Milwaukee area last Wednesday to visit longtime friends, We had dinner here Friday night and the food was generous and very good. Service was outstanding. One thing i will say is management should ditch the giant TV's in the dining room in favor of putting up some nice artwork. There is some beautiful artwork on the walls and especially paintings on the booths. TV"s are just a distraction and a nuisance to diners. The TV in the bar area is justified. Also, one thing I found unusual was the fact that the gentleman who appeared to either own or manage the restaurant was poorly dressed. Wearing a baseball cap backward, with a t-shirt and shorts is not cutting it, especially when your waitstaff are dressed to the nines in uniform. I saw you were also handling the guacamole table. Not my place to tell you how to dress, but you have a wonderful restaurant! Own it! I have been in the restaurant supply business for a very long time and want to see...
Read moreWe have gone to Margaritas several times now and haven't been disappointed. We get seated as soon as we enter. Chips and salsa are served right away, and if you ask for it, they'll even bring you a hotter salsa (tomatilla). The service is good and attentive. We never had to wait to place our order. The menu is substantial with plenty to choose from. One of my favorites is the enchiladas mole poblano: shredded chicken enchilada smothered in a rich, dark mole sauce with a hint of smokiness. Absolutely delicious! The burritos are also large with fresh ingredients and are substantial. If you order draft beer, it comes "el grande" in a chilled mug. The one item they need to add is HORCHATA! (Please add that soon to your fine menu! And don't ever change your chef!) Margaritas is definitely top of the list for...
Read moreThis is what Cicero has been waiting for; great Mexican food that will appeal to both those wanting typical American Mexican food and those who prefer more traditional style. The drinks were fantastic. Typical chips and salsa. Guacamole had a bit of spice and fresh lime. Servings are HUGE, and all the ingredients taste fresh and delicious. Lots of options, but not so many that it’s overwhelming. Some of the options are really interesting, in the best possible way. My husband and I sampled each others meals and drinks and we were impressed by all of it. Great new place, and our new favorite! Try the La Llorona drink and the...
