Update Well deserved, very late lol Ever since they did the remodel, I LOVE this store! They are clean, well stocked, knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and carrying most of what you want! There are a few things they are lacking on, but that's just name brand stuff that's more niche. For the size of the store (large) their stock is impressive! Highly recommend!
Update Well before they started getting ready for the remodel of the store (starting at the end of January!) this store had started being a place you could only get bits and pieces of what you wanted. Any of the popular deals that week? Oh no, forget it. Come on the day they should start the sale of them, and the truck is late. Come any day after that, even the very next day, and all of them are magically sold. And the produce is hit or miss. You may as well head out to the Reading Rd store if you want anything beyond your basic, non-perishable, things from there. Hopefully the store is very much a better place when they finally reopen, sometime in March.... Love the selection of things that you don't get anywhere else, and the produce that doesn't look like it's been thrown around like so many big stores. Always very friendly and helpful staff. The worst thing about Aldi's in general is that you never know when they will have some of those items in stock, but that encourages you to...
Read moreI love the Aldi upgrade. Today was my first visit since the building was remodelled. Stellar upgrade.
The food: I scarcely want to share that their coconut, carmel cookies taste JUST LIKE the girl scout cookie version of them. I say this not to support the girl scouts, but rather because I want the less expensive version of this cookie to be on the shelf for my next visit. (I hope they're available year round, Hint Hint!)
We had the frozen mushroom ravioli for dinner tonight. It's insane that the bag of frozen ravioli fed 3+ for less than $4.00. Further, it boiled for only five minutes, so by the time the asparagus ($2) was steamed, we were ready to eat. I hope to relive the delicious meal soon.
My Aldi Advice: 1.) Bring your own bags if you don't want to purchase bags at check out. 2.) Have a quarter handy to release a shopping cart. You'll get your quarter back once the cart is returned, but this business tactic, like other Aldi tactics, help keep prices low. 3.) Give your shopping cart to someone when you're done instead of getting your quarter back. 2-3 times when friendly strangers have done this for me, it has made my day. 4.) Make a shopping list, because if you are like me, you're going to want to buy EVERYTHING....
Read moreI love Aldi's. They have remodeled the store to make all of the products easy to reach or choose from. All of their inventory comes from Germany and this gives customers a chance to try different foods from another country. I so far have not found a product I did not like. And you can not beat the prices, theirs are very reasonable and good tasting. The produce, the vegetables, the bagged goods or boxed items. Fresh or frozen you can't go wrong in your choices. Convenient store hours and plenty of parking. I would recommend Aldi's to everyone. They have seasonal inventory as well. Like gardening tools, mulch, pots and pans, tools for the car, different foods you only see at certain times of the year. Toys, games, flowers, school supplies, nuts, pizza, meats, ribs and ice cream very cheap. Try um and you will become a regular at...
