TLDR: Trilogy made this exercise hating gen x-er appreciate how to age better and strengthen my muscles and relieve my back pain.
I worked with Trilogy for just over a year, the system is small group personal training and while each person has their own program (tailored to their needs and abilities) these trainers move effortlessly from person to person to check in, refine form, hype us up and provide spots where necessary.
Trilogy is truly unique - Iâve never enjoyed sports or being athletic. I was required to take gym every day through high school and what it taught me was many ways to avoid physical activity. As a result I had some crazy back pain. After checking with my doctor to ensure I didnât have any medical reasons not work out I took a deep breath and joined Trilogy. I never felt out of place, even when I couldnât lift any weight and was only doing body weight exercises thereâs no heirarchy that prioritizes the big lifters over the ones who arenât there yet. I never once felt like I wasnât a priority when I needed help or guidance.
You wonât work with the same trainer every day, and at first this scared me. But I soon realized that each of the trainers gives you a different thing, and the whole package comes together as you progress. By the end of my time I had worked with everyone and that means you always have a trainer looking out for you.
If youâve never worked out before, Trilogy is a great place to give you some one-on-one attention as you begin and then gradually let you find your way as you get more comfortable. This is the only place I have stuck to a program for any length of time. When I started I couldnât lift 18 lbs. deadlift without back pain my PR for dead lift was 127 lbs and zero back pain!
If youâre a regular lifter trilogy will give you workouts for each day that you can do on your own as well. These will provide strength and flexibility
I cannot recommend Trilogy enough, if you think this may be your spot come in and meet the team, have an evaluation and vibe check, itâs worth that much of your time to see if they are a good...
Read moreTrilogy is a little gem of a fitness center. Each of the trainers are very personable, care about their members and are knowledgeable. It is a small group setting with an organized program for the day. Even though you sign up for a time, you go at your own pace. If you are someone who wants some direction but not someone hovering, to feel like you belong and in a safe space, or maybe has felt confused or intimidated at various gyms of where to start or if itâs for you, Trilogy is great. The first day I walked in with my name on a mat and who I was working with. The gym goers smile at you. No one is recording their workouts for the gram. There is every age, shape and size represented. You have a little app to track your workouts, and I saw results. Itâs the most low key but still working your butt off gym Iâve ever been to.
Now, if you are someone who likes a lot of cardio, thrives in a OT or CrossFit atmosphere or likes your gym experience feeling like itâs on 6 scoops of preworkout this is not the place for you. Also if you need truly individualized training or nutrition help, discuss your options with them before signing up to make sure it will fit what youâre looking for.
I found the experience great and never dreaded going in. Highly recommend and there are many truly in shape men and women who have been longtime...
Read moreI am new at this gym but felt compelled to write a review. I have tried every fad workout, got a peloton, tried different apps and have continuously failed to find a gym or workout that works for me. I decided to give Trilogy a try and it is truly one of the greatest decisions I have ever made. Iâve only known Matt (Helen and Zach too) just a few weeks and I feel like Iâve known them forever. They are non judge mental, funny, caring, and highly knowledgeable trainers that push me to be my best but also understand the challenges Iâve faced in the past in trying to work out. I am one of those people who would do a workout once and the thought of going back a second time caused a lot of dread and anxiety. I absolutely feel the opposite at Trilogy. I feel so excited to go even though I know it may be challenging. The other people in the gym are so friendly and I canât wait to see how far I can go in this fitness journey!! There are people there of all fitness levels from super beginner (like me) to some amazing gym powerhouses. No matter who is there the overall vibe is very supportive. Thanks Matt, Zach, and Helen for everything so far. If you are looking for a positive fun workout that actually works-RUN donât walk to Trilogy Fitnessâyou...
