I have been an SOSer for 5 years now. Which makes it shocking that Iām just now getting around to writing review, especially since Iām such a mega-fan! I first heard about SOS from a few folks when I worked at L Brands in Columbus. They had a few loyal customers with whom I worked. To be honest, I was a little intimidated when Iād see these folks post about their workouts on social media. I had thought about trying it circa 2017, but was too intimidated (my loss!). But in 2019, I ended up with a stress fracture while marathon training. I was able to barely finish my training for the NYC Marathon, which I did successfully complete in November 2019. But at that point, it was evident that I couldnāt just keep running marathons without incorporating strength training into my routine. So in Christmas Week 2019, I started with the 7 class starter pack just to try it out.
I even joined Team Tread (their half & full marathon training program)in their Columbus location in January to start training for the Nashville Half in April 2020. Unfortunately for me, my SOS morning routines were abruptly halted in March 2020. But luckily, my team tread registration got me into the ādigital studioā which I had no idea what it was at the time. I very quickly uncovered that itās all the same studio instructors and they have recorded classes with new uploads almost daily as well as a huge library of online classes (which as you can imagine has only grown in the past 5 years). I did what everyone else was doing and immediately ordered as many dumbbells, resistance bands, and other equipment to build up a āhome SOS studioā and my equipment has been growing ever since.
I moved to Arizona in summer 2021, and have continued to be a dedicated Digital Studio user and advocate. Whenever I come home to Ohio (wither Cbus or Cincy), I get giddy at the thought of going to classes in person and itās a treat to choose which classes Iāll take and with which instructors.
I can honestly say SOS Digital Studio has helped me get in the best shape of my life. I feel like I personally know all of the trainers (I donāt have social media anymore, but when I did, I followed all of them, so again, felt like I kew them personally). When I was in Hawaii for my wedding, SO many people were asking me about my arms and complimenting me. I kept trying to tell them about the DS and how special SOS is. I will always be a dedicated and loyal fan. Itās become such a part of my routine that Iām on Christmas Break now with my husband in Kansas (where heās from) and Iāve brought my ankle weights, light weights and loop bands just so I can get some classes in. Thank you, Gretchen and team for helping me be the best version of myself every day! Canāt imagine what Iād do without the DS and my SOS training crew!
(Only word of advice to newbies- the System DOES work! Donāt skip out on any classes. As you can imagine, being a marathon runner, I favored all of the cardio classes. But it wasnāt until I really started incorporating High & Tight as I prepared for my wedding that I noticed the chiseled arms that Iād always wanted. Itās a well-rounded program that works wonders as long as you incorporate ALL of the classes).
Particularly about the Cincy location, I love the rooms they have (1 dedicated to The Course, 1 for Ebb and High & Tight and another for In The Mix and Control). You can tell it was built after the Columbus locations! I also have only been here about 7 times total (since I'm more from the Columbus area). But both instructors Tyler and Emma have remembered me. Emma is for sure my favorite instructor. I was super spoiled this past Thanksgiving and had her for three straight days of classes! Oh how I wished I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am one of those people who loves trying out new workout studios - Maybe that's who I am, or maybe that's because I've never found a studio I truly loved. I love different studios for different reasons, but have felt that I needed to join 2-3+ studios to get the "mix" of workouts I was looking for. This is where System of Strength has been a game changer for me: They offer HIIT workouts (real, legit, challenging, sweat-drenching ones), Heavy Lifting (and another class that mixes the HIIT/cardio workouts with the lifting), Training/Station-based classes (felt like soccer conditioning), Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Restorative Yoga... Have I missed anything?? These aren't for the faint of heart either, these classes are TOUGH on both a mental and physical level. I know going into any class that I will get exactly what I want out of it (there are obviously modifications given for everything as well). So if you are looking for a challenge, or feel like you are in a workout rut with your same-ole workout classes, then I would suggest this. These are the only workouts that I have been motivated enough to get out of bed at 5am for, and that's because I get a different class every day and I love it! Thanks for coming to Cincy, SOS!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreSystem of Strength had been on my list of places to try for a long time. I finally popped in a few classes, and I'm loving it. The trainers are highly skilled at planning classes, and keeping me motivated throughout the entire workout. The music is amazing.
I love the diversity they have in class options. Something for everyone, and all extremely challenging in their own way. My favorite class to date is control. If you're looking for a class that is strictly strength based, this is it. I always walk out of class feeling like I could lift a car.
Here are the details: They have plenty of parking in the front AND back of the building.
They offer various deals for first timers, so you can test every class before you commit.
They take cleaning very seriously, and in the strength classes you get your own set of weights right at your spot.
