After several bad experiences with the pharmacies at 2 of the Walgreens in Citrus Heights, my family and I are no longer doing any business with Walgreens stores. Here is our experience with this location.
My daughter is immunocompromised. Due to a change in our insurance, we were told by the pharmacy they were waiting for some type of authorization and no further action needed to be taken on our part. We called everyday for a week and were not given a status nor resolution. This caused my daughter to feel distressed as she was close to running out of her prescription. We ended up transferring it to another pharmacy and it was filled within a few days. They even sent it to our house without a shipping cost.
On another occasion, an employee would not administer the Covid-19 booster shot. My daughter's doctor advised her to get it. My daughter called me from the store. I told her to go back and explain she has a medical condition. The same employee sounded and was visibly annoyed by her return. His disposition and tone changed after the pharmacist confirmed she was eligible for the booster. He didn't acknowledge nor apologize for...
Read moreIf you have a prescription for medication that needs to be taken every day I would highly suggest filling it elsewhere. I've been refilling here for 3 years and atleast once every other month there's an issue with refills. I call 3 days before my refill date to make sure things are ready. I get confirmation. Day of fill I drive there to pickup said medication, "I'm sorry but this is a rare medication and it will be here in 1-2 days." I ask why it wasn't ordered when I called to make sure you have it in stock. "Unfortunately, we can't check our stock until the medication is due" What? You guys don't have the capability to look and see if you have specialty meds I'm stock before their due date? There seems like a few simple remedies to prevent this error from happening but, doesn't seem like anyone cares enough to change this. There's also two fairly incompetent pharmacy staff members that work there. The conversations I've had with them over the years have been stress inducing to say the least. Read moreI am incredibly grateful and happy to share my experiences with Sebastian from the photo department. I've had the pleasure of working with him on numerous occasions, and he has consistently demonstrated professionalism and accuracy with my orders. Just yesterday, I placed an order and, trusting the usual excellence of this location, I didn’t double-check it. Upon arrival, I realized that the order was not what I expected. To my surprise, Sebastian was the one who assisted me this time as well.
I contacted the store and spoke with him about the issue, and he promptly apologized and took immediate action to make things right. I appreciate how quickly he always responds and how efficiently he gets me in and out of the store with the correct items. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail truly stand out. This is the epitome of excellent customer service! I wholeheartedly believe Sebastian deserves to be recognized with the best customer service...
