NY City Pizza — Restaurant in Citrus Heights

Went in last night to get a Christmas pizza because I saw on google it said closes at 8pm (Christmas hours) when I walked in I was asked “pickup?” So I replied “no, would like to place an order for a cheese pizza please.” The lady said “we are closed.” Surprised, I show her the phone where it says 8pm. She then said something in spanish to the little angry man behind the counter who I assume was the owner. So he comes out with a horrible attitude and says “Today its my decision when we close and we are closed!” I said “ok no problem all I wanted was a cheese and I came in because it said 8pm on google” so he yells “nope! My decision! We are closed! You can leave!” So that’s exactly what I did and will never go back there again. Im happy I didn’t get a pizza because the cleanliness of that establishment was extremely questionable. Horrible people skills! There are a million other ways he could have went about it. At the end of the day I was trying to put money in his pocket and if you’re still working anyways you might as well make some extra cash. Business 101. Would HIGHLY NOT...

So, having visited New York City several times over and ate a ton of pizza while I was there, I have to say that this place should change it's name. I couldn't be more disappointed based on my expectations, but I guess this is why people say that California Pizza is bad. So I will say that the pizza functions and isn't gross, it's okay, but the crazy irony is that this pizza takes like the owner is trying to replicate Little Caesars. I don't mean that in a bad way necessarily, but it's bad when you claim to be one of the most classic and loved styles of pizza there is, and taste like a $5 pizza. If anyone thinks I'm exaggerating, I challenge you to do a taste test. So the low score comes from the fact that this place is borderline a scam. Using crazy low quality ingredients and tricking people like me into spending three times the amount by saying that you're something you're not. Don't go here. Save your money and go to little Cesar's or go anywhere else. Last night me and my boyfriend went here for dinner we both ordered our own pizzas and some buffalo wings plus an order of cheese sticks. My boyfriend even praised they lady at the counter saying he loves getting pizza here and he looks forward to it for his cheat day because he's dieting and exercising. To make a long story short after we waited for a half hour to fourty five minutes later for our food they go and give us the wrong food.
