I have really tried not to ever do this, but people should be warned. My wife and I both had stereos installed. Mine first, I was shown pictures of a flush mounted stereo and agreed on the model, the upgrades were for a kit that had to be ordered as well. roughly additional 400.00 give or take. After installing it, it stuck out about a 1'1/2 with no trim kit at all. I asked that it be taken out and replaced because it really looked that bad. Mike agreed and put in a cheaper stereo, but the price didn't change. Then both mine and my wife's Radio stations would not work at all. Also, I had to wait for another part because my back up camera didn't work. They fixed my back up camera and installed something on my dash to correct the radio stations. I asked what it was on my dash, and they said for GPS to work with Carplay??? My wife's car was sent back in, but they tried to say its plug and play so it is what it is if it doesn't work, I repeated, "it is what it is". I explained to the tech, that for 2400.00 dollars, to put in a new radio for it not to receive stations is not going to work. We left that day, and I was driving my wife's car and it just really started to annoy me that some people may just actually settle for this. I called and said maybe this isn't going to work and maybe we should just refund the money, but we agreed to give it one last chance. They said they were going to replace my wife's stereo with a new one because maybe it is faulty, and mine as well because we realized now that my Carplay when plugged in was not working. My wife's car radio stations were corrected, but not with a new stereo, I found where they had wired in under the hood an external antenna dangling and connected to her main fuse box with the lid still off?? Then it was my turn, they called an hour after I had dropped mine off for its "new stereo" and said it works when they plug directly into stereo, and something must be wrong with USB. I told him that's not possible because it worked when I brought it in. He offered to cancel out the cigarette lighter to correct the issue, i declined, then stated he said can add a USB in a blank, but it would not have a plate, i declined that also. I told him I did not want my vehicle to look Frankensteined!! He called me later and said Toyota puts a resister in the factory USB and that is why it wasn't working. (Special Note: additional Kits for new stereo's comes with replacement USB) just not here?? He can order the parts, but it would be another week?? I must also mention I am already in the 3rd week and on my 6th visit to have a stereo installed properly. At this point I just decided enough was enough and I just want it back to the way it was. They put my factory stereo back in and we agreed to do the refund. I must mention I have been getting rides back and forth to work while this nightmare plays out. Anyways they called and said my vehicle was ready, I got another ride back and we went over the refund, he stated he was not refunding the labor and then asked if I brought the box? I replied, how can I have brought the box you have my vehicle?? Mike seemed to think that was funny. He said he needs the box to re-sell the radio, and I just thought in my head, of course you're going to re-sell this to someone. Now I'm just pissed, so I got my keys and walked out, on my way home to get the box, I'm hearing the wind come thru the door where they did not secure the door trim and not reinstall that correctly either. Drove home and back to deliver the box, 2 hours round trip! They did a partial refund, and I couldn't leave quick enough. This place is a HACK, don't pay for the kits because they try and part it out to make it work half assed. I went to another shop the same day I left; they showed me the kit I had purchased, comes with dash hardware, wiring and you got it, a new USB to allow Carplay to work. even factory HD antennae without cheap hardware. Read moreI have mixed feelings about my visit so I'll write an honest review. I brought my old car here before for tint and there was bubbles so I knew not to go here for tint again and thought they couldn't possibly mess up a subwoofer. The guys who installed my amp and sub did a great job, especially considering I showed up with a car full of junk on a Friday afternoon. It sounds okay too, after some adjustments. The thing is, I specifically asked for 1000 watts. Half way home after picking up, I knew something was wrong. I had a 500 watt amp and two 250 watt subs instead of the 1000 watts that I repeatedly asked for, but they were closed. The next day the salesman I dealt with insisted that a 500 watt amp and two subs that can handle that 500 watts IS a "1000 watt system". I was shocked because I've installed systems in all my cars and dealt with music equipment for as long as I can remember and this is not a thing. A guitar speaker cabinet and head unit, for example, would be advertised as 200 watts because it is 200 watts of power, not a 100 watt head and four 25 watt speakers. I get that the speakers can handle that divided power, but nobody adds the watts the amp outputs with the watts the speakers can handle and calls it whatever the outcome of that equation happens to be. I called around to other audio shops and nobody does that. The dude played me. If I knew I would be getting half the power I would have done it myself for so much cheaper. He told me it would be 300$ more to upgrade to the system I want and that my old 1000 watt amp was weaker. The ease and straight face with which he told me that I have a "1000 watt system" with a 500 watt amp makes me think this is what he does regularly. I encourage everyone who brought their vehicle here to check exactly what was installed, as some others may not be as electronically inclined and susceptible to being taken advantage of. I also encourage future customers to be thoroughly verbal with the salesman in order to prevent this. Although, I thought I was thorough, considering I specifically asked for 1000 watts many times. Just beware...
Read moreVery pleased with the service. We took 2 vehicles in. One for a new stereo and rewrie. Another for a new deck and alarm. It was 430 pm and he was willing to do both right away. It was so hot outside and we did not want to be stuck in the heat, so we left one vehicle and would bring the other back. He said they could still do both before they closed at 7. We left to go get some food. He tried to call me several times about my car but my phone was on silent. We returned shortly after. I could tell he might have been a little irritated, but I understand because they were just trying to finish and needed my approval to do so. We were going to go get the guys Gatorades because it was like 107 out, but one of their guys went and got some before we did. They finished both cars in under 2 hours. Before we went to West coast we went to another place down the street. The guy there was rude and treated me like I was dumb, would not take any vehicle that day and would not make an appointment. It's like he literally did not want my business. The guys at West coast were completely different. They were nice, more knowledgeable and had better prices. Chose West coast they were awesome! Thank you guys for helping us. I haven't had a radio in my car for 8 years! And we are now we are going to take a long road...
