In mid November 2019, I experienced difficulties trying to obtain TMS treatment with a different clinic and when a friend / coworker heard of my struggles, they highly recommended me to give NeuroSpa a try. Based on my friend's recent experience with NeuroSpa and how she couldn't stop saying such wonderful things about this place and the team that worked there, I reached out to them immediately and instantly knew I made the right choice in doing so. Monica B, a Clinical Coordinator for NeuroSpa, was one of the very first people I spoke with in regards to obtaining treatment and she had me sold. She is extremely knowledgeable when it came to everything I needed to know and do before starting treatment. She kept in constant communication with me, answered all of my questions, and even did all the legwork to verify my insurance coverage, advising me every step of the way until my very first in house appointment.
I was able to start treatment at the Gunn Hwy location in early December, and I sincerely wish I knew about this place sooner. On my very first appointment I met Dr. Nate Upshaw, who was exactly how my friend described. He is super laid back and very easy to talk to. He patiently and confidently answered all of my questions about TMS therapy using the NeuroStar machine and he put me at ease when it came to how treatment would go and what to expect.
NeuroSpa has really thought of everything to make the treatment experience as comfortable as possible. There is flexible appointment scheduling... just give them notice if you're not able to come in for an appointment or need to change the time. There are flexible payment options too. I've been offered a bottle of water (sometimes even cookies) every visit. The treatment rooms are designed with different colored lighting that brightens or dims to set a more relaxing mood, Siri to play any type of music you'd like, the treatment chair is actually comfortable, and if you need someone to just spend a little more time with you during treatment for your first week or two while you get used to things, the front office ladies will... all you have to do is ask. There is even a call button under the arm rest that you can push to get their attention once treatment has started. I've never seen Kristen, Erica or Amy hesitate to assist when that button is pushed.
I attended treatment roughly 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) for no more than 25-35 minutes each day, and let me tell you, once I got in the rhythm of things, everything flowed nicely. Typically, I would walk in tired or sluggish (my appointments were very early in the morning for someone who works 2nd shift), just to be greeted by the sweetest front office team imaginable (Kristen, Erica, and Amy). This definitely woke me up and was a great start to my workday as I can always tell that they all genuinely care about my well being whenever they asked me how I'm doing. Whenever it was my turn for treatment either Kristen, Erica, or Amy would call me back and get me set up by walking me in to an available treatment room. We would talk briefly about whatever comes to mind as they set up the machine. They always remembered to ask Siri to play my favorite music (90's alternative), and they would dim the lights to my favorite colors (purples and blues) to keep the mood relaxing while in treatment. Just being at NeuroSpa for a daily treatment session would wake me up and prepare me for the day ahead. It's now nearing the end of January and I'm currently in the last week and a half of treatment. It's bittersweet that I wont continue to see these ladies daily. They do really great work to help keep NeuroSpa running so efficiently and it's through their interactions that I will always keep this place close to my heart. I'm truly in a better place mentally and emotionally, because of NeuroSpa and the team that works here. Keep up the...
Read moreWithout going into too much detail, I have always been sick one way or another since I was little. I have a background of childhood abuse as well and continue to struggle with my health, having fibromyalgia and need for psychiatric care. Due to my long history with doctors and medications, my body has become extremely sensitive to any pharmaceutical treatments.
If you have long-term pain and psychiatric problems, the issue comes in when the medications that you take for each issue crossover and caused very bad, sometimes fatal side effects. This is precisely why treatment for the body and mind as a whole needs to be the focus.
Neurospa has been the first treatment center I have attended that makes this combination a top priority!
I have a long history( 20+ yrs.) of treatments with allopathy, and that road was never comfortable. Sometimes, I was treated very badly and made to feel something was wrong with me. This is all too familiar for some people and a shame on the medical field for not catching up on individual treatments and not just pharmaceuticals.
Every person in the Citrus Park Neurospa Center has always made me feel comfortable and safe and not alone! I am currently going through TMS treatment which seems to be having an amazing affect on my severe depression, but am not quite finished with the full process.
Every time I come in for therapy, they treat me with care. As soon as I walk in the door, from the front desk, to my mental health checkups, and all the way up to the top doctor at the facility.
Dr. Obregon is one of the most educated doctors I have met, and I have met a lot in my lifetime. He has a wonderful personality, and you can tell he has respect by hearing and addressing every concern or question.
His office staff Ally and Haley have taken time to make me comfortable even on my worst days. In addition, they run the place with kindness and efficiency, something rarely witnessed.
The program itself is set up to really give that patient the individualized and personalized treatment from the very beginning. When dealing with chronic pain and mental health, they do an excellent job combining some of the latest natural techniques and still help maintain your psychiatric treatments.
I was hesitant at first but had no doubts after I met Elizabeth, who helped me with my (allopathic) mental health medications. She was very thoughtful and thorough, plus she never made me feel rushed and that my opinion really mattered.
If you have any chronic pain or any mental health conditions and you have put up with the average medical care of making you feel ashamed, rushed, and have no answers except just more pills.... I strongly suggest that you give Neurospa a call!
They even take my insurance, and I have no copay. I have even heard them working with people if they do, which shows how much they focus on the personal aspect and truly make it health CARE.
I will be advising family members and friends to take a look at their programs and treatments.
A sincere Thank You to Everyone at the Neurospa Citrus...

Jenny is another sweetheart that's always great to chat with. Always smiling and cheerful.
Kathryn is the NP there and she is awesome!!! Always checking up on me every single visit. She makes you feel comfortable taking to and that is key. Her smile and energy are out of this world.
Now Jenna!! I will straight up tell ya she's tough!! She somehow pushes you to overcome obstacles in life that you had given up on. I had given up hope on ever talking with my father again and somehow I promised her I'd message him. I did and things are looking great at repairing our bond. She doesn't sugarcoat stuff and will straight out tell ya. I can go on but you get the point. If you are needing someone to talk with and start taking accountability look no further. If you are in a deep rut and you feel like there is no way out, trust me Jenna will listen and help you come up with a plan. I've had many therapists before and none have ever come close to making me feel better than her! I say all this in a good way. She's a sweetheart as well and full of smiles.
If you are looking for a place to help you with depression, anxiety, ptsd, or someone to talk to stop searching and give them a call. So thanks to everyone at the citrus park location for being there for me as well as the continued support when I was at my lowest and basically fealt I had nothing to live for anymore....
